You did have proof you submitted the I-134 and there in is the amount he earns. The CO asked you a test question and you were able to answer which help convince her of your relationship. Congrats.

Now a days you can't depend on what financials they'll ask for so you have to have them all. Some CO's in the same embassy will ask for something entirely different from another CO. So play it safe and bring everything required for the financials is my recommendation.

@Greenbaum In my case i134 had his dad's earnings not his, he was the sponsor at the time we submitted i129f. Nothing of my fiance's earnings was submitted, tax return was also dad's

@K1journey_16 how many years of TAX return? I don't have a job letter, but my company HR directed me to Work Number for job verification letter to be printed.

Take three years, we submitted two years tax return originally, he checked only that, but I took the 2018 latest one too, 2016, 2017, 2018, take payslips of last two months

@K1journey_16,will they look at any bank statements at Mumbai embassy ? How many months statements should I take ?

In my case we submitted affidavit 134 and tax return with the original i129f petition, they just checked that, he didn't ask for my fiance's current tax return or his job offer letter or pay slips or any other documents which I took, never heard of anyone taking bank statements, they would want to check how much you earn, so take w2, tax return, pay slips of last three months and job offer letter if you have ( Consulate officer asked me how much my fiance earns but didn't ask to submit proof but I had proof).

@K1journey_16& @K@S from some other persons review I read that selecting English as medium of comm leads to more waiting . What do u guys think ? I know @K@S waited long to be interviewed & had no translator. Did u go with a translator @K1journey_16?

He had to wait cause he got a stapler 😋 otherwise  it wouldn't have taken so long for his interview, I gave the interview in English, no translator

They didn't ask for or take NVC letter from me or others standing with me. You didn't bring DS-160 confirmation-page, right? So, maybe that's why they asked for NVC letter from you instead? Otherwise, I don't know why I or others around me weren't asked for it.

I brought DS160, it was not the stamped one, they took the unstamped one, they did ask the guy and the girl in front of me for NVC call letter

I am not familiar with the P43 for india but I wouldn't be in a position that if it is asked for at the interview and you don't have it then..... I-129f to the bene is something knew. It's a good idea that the bene read through it so they understand your past because sometimes there is a question that will be asked from there and the bene doesn't know the answer.

@ujones you should be well aware of what was submitted in the original petition, CO did not ask for any additional proof of relationship like screenshots or call logs or anything, not one single document not even the tax returns , his specific questions were based on what's written in original petition

Also read that if you hve already submitted enough proof of relationship that’s what’s gng to help the case as CO is not really allowed to take any new evidence presented at the interview than the ones already been reviewed & approved by USCIS. Don’t know how true that info is but after reading several reviews that sounds pretty right. So still take everything with you but I’m sure CO already knows the decision by the time beneficiary go for interview.

That sounds doable but their (esp the Mumbai CO pattern right now) intention is to check if the relationship is genuine and if the  couple is serious about getting married in USA ( which is what everyone mentioned in the Letter of intent)  , "wedding plans" seem important so the CO would want to see if you have planned , if you have receipts, booking hall etc additional proof, this is just my opinion @ujones

Any guidelines on how many pages of chats should be there, so that they're not too much or too little? We have been conversing more or less daily since 2015 on okcupid, facebook & skype, so if I printed out everything, then it will surely run into tens of thousands of pages, so I've picked out one screenshot from every month, plus, any special events, like birthdays, Valentine's day, anniversaries, etc., & from all 3 media of communication. I have close to 100 pages of prints.

@ujones  @K1journey_16 Thanks for your suggestions. Rapidvisa had told us to only send photos with the original petition & bring chats to at the Interview, though of course, I'm taking both just for the heck of it, & then it's up to the CO to see them or not. We don't really have any CONCRETE wedding plans given the nature of uncertainty of visas, though we have discussed a couple of POTENTIAL possibilities, which I would mention. After getting the visa, our first goal would be to get legally married as soon as I enter the US, & then, we would make concrete plans about a wedding, with guests & everything else, 6 months or so after that.
