  1. I had my interview less than 2weeks ago. On the day of the interview I had 3 status update. I don't understand what it means. I was told I will get my letter within 10 to 15 days. Please, anyone have similar status.

    See below:

Case Was Submitted For Quality Review Based On An Approval Recommendation

Your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, was placed in line for oath ceremony scheduling.

We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review.

My wife applied for N400 while on a temporary permanent resident card (green card with 2 year restriction because we were married less than 2 years when we got it). We had applied for the removal of restrictions, but it's pending and she has an expired green card but a letter an extension of 48 months while they processed it.

She had her N400 interview 2 weeks ago, and then had to fly home unexpectedly because her father was hospitalized. I am going as well and we aren't coming back until late May, and yesterday I got a letter in the mail saying her N400 was approved and the oath is May 10. Today I got another letter saying her I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence was finally approved. I have a few questions...

    1. What is her process for getting back into the country? She has an expired green card. Does she show the N400 approval? The 4 year extension for the I-751? The I-751 approval?

    2. If we request to postpone the oath (the official letter says "if you cannot come to this ceremony, return this notice immediately with a written explanation why"). Can I send that? Does it have to be signed by her? The letter is here and she is in another country with the ceremony just 2 weeks away.

Happy to provide more information if needed.

    Thank you!

My friend had the same issue, she showed the 48 month extension, expired Green Card. They allowed her into the USA.

Hi guys. I received a notification that my interview was scheduled, and the next day I received a new notification -On February 23, 2024, we cancelled or descheduled the interview scheduled for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. What does it mean ? Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I worry?

More than one person had the same issue… it looks like that will be a system error if more people have similar issue.

That sounds good... I mean thinking back now... So many things I took for granted... Procrastinated... Now I miss them all, frie ds I should have gone to visit... Family gatherings I stayed away from because I was too lazy in bed on Sundays... This lockdown have definitely taught me to take my todo list seriously

    Me too,

The lockdown thought me that everyone you meet is a blessing so cherish the moments good/ bad.. i took out yesterday to celebrate everyone I've met. Life is a gift 🎁

Every now and then mail gets lost - that's the risk. I sent in passport, marriage certificate and I-94 and everything worked out 😪. Originals were returned a couple of days after and I received my SSN around 4-5 weeks after applying.

Wow, its good to know you got your originals back.. looking forward to getting mine.

Your original came first before the SSN

  6. My social security card has my maiden name and valid to work only with DHS authorization only. My ead has my married name.

I just got a job offer but they said I need to change the name on my ssn before I can proceed.

I called SS office and they said I have to send in my original documents to change the name.

Please, who has done it before and how safe is it?

    I need an advise.

They didn’t ask you for any bank account documentation during the interview? Did you provide it before hand?  It’s listed as a supporting evidence document for the I134.

No, they didn't. But if you feel you need to go with it, you can go with all the documents you feel you need...

What's important is when they ask you a question how you answer is what they look for at the interview.

    * Remember to look into the interviewers eyes, smile and answer truthfully. If you dont know the answer or understand the question just say it. Also pray on your arrival.

    Best of luck.

Hello, I thought I read somewhere that six months worth of statements is required for the interview, but i can't find it again, so i just want to double check on this forum.  Do I need to provide my fiance with 6 months bank statement or will the letter from the bank showing 12 months total deposits suffice?  Thanks!

I dont think you need bank statement.. I used tax return for 2years and paysubs..

We also got an status stating Update: case is ready to be schedule for an interview, we where one of the ones that got an RFE for information we had already submitted in our original application, IRS transcripts, so we just resent and the status changed December 5. We  hadn't checked prior since we took a hand-off approach since we together and that was our primary goal. We can be patient for all else.
