  1. Yeah, I hear that. But it is demoralizing to see people get interviews scheduled within 2 weeks of original submission, yet here I am more than 3 months later just sitting and waiting. I'm hoping it isn't really going to be 5 months.
  2. Estimated Time to Decision jumped up from 2 months to 5 months. I know it's not accurate, but it's still a gut punch to see the time increase like that.
  3. I'm actually wondering the same thing. Following.
  4. Yes, I filed online. That makes sense now (I hope it's true). Anyways, regarding that other person's situation - just ONE week wait between case filed and interview scheduled is wild!
  5. No. N-400, 5 year rule. I just now got concerned because my case number has a weird block number IOE957xxxxxxx when majority of cases seem to be IOE09xxxxxxxx. I wonder what that is about.
  6. Congrats! That is crazy fast! I am also ATL based, applied in late March but still no interview notice...
  7. One more question regarding the Online application. I'm on the "Where have you lived" section and I'm running into an issue. I've lived at the same address for the past 6 years. I already listed it as my current address in the previous tab "Your contact information" and listed the date there. Do I now include it again in this next screen in "Where have you lived"? The issue is that the form requires a MM/DD/YY format in From and To boxes. I still live here presently, and will do so in the foreseeable future. Do I list a date in the future? Do I list today's date? Do I leave "To" blank? Or do I skip this section altogether since I already listed this address in the "Your contact information" ?
  8. Thanks for sharing your experience! Yeah, I'm already proactively planning for questions regarding our marriage (even though I'm filing under the general provision), and I plan to bring evidence in case questions are raised. Cool to hear that you could do same day ceremony!
  9. Hi all, I'm in the process of filing out the online N-400 application and I have a couple of questions. I'm married to a USC but I have now been a GC holder for over 5 years, so I will be applying under the general provision and requirements. Here are the questions: 1. I have my IRS tax transcripts ready to upload, however me and my spouse file our taxes "Married filing separate" (for student loan calculation purposes). Will this raise eyebrows? Should I also upload my spouse's tax transcripts? And wouldn't that just start a slippery slope - now upload residential leases, joint insurance, bills, etc...? 2. I have a minor traffic ticket that was dismissed by a judge (over Zoom court). I can print out a copy of the available online court records to show dismissed. How important is it to obtain a CERTIFIED court record? I'm not particularly thrilled by the idea of driving 1000 miles to the county court where it happened to just to get one stamp... 3. As it has been discussed many times, the list of Occupations on the N-400 application is rather limited. I'm a teacher. Should I just select the category "Counselors, Vocation/Education"? That seems to be the closest fit (and I know I can clarify my answer on the last page). Thank you all!
  10. My case was finally approved. I never filed N400, just the I-751. Took exactly 29 months. No interview, no RFEs. I hope others here get their approvals soon too!
  11. Card arrived yesterday in the mail. I was panicking for nothing. Thanks for all the replies!
  12. It just seems like the complications with USCIS just never end... My I-751 had been pending since Sept 2021 until last week when it was finally approved! Great news, right? Case status changed from We Ordered Your New Card to Case Was Approved....but it hasn't changed to Card was produced yet. It's been a week. Here is the kicker - I have international travel planned in early March. I figured it was pretty safe to travel with my expired card and the 4-year extension letter. But the approval notice explicitly says "You should not travel outside the United States until you receive your new Green Card, as you may have difficulty entering the United States"....blah blah blah...make an appointment for a I-551 stamp. I know this is standard language, and I wonder if I could still just use my expired card and 4-year extension letter in lieu of the I-551 stamp (assuming the worst - that the new card does not arrive in time). Two questions: 1) Has anyone faced a similar situation? 2) People who have been recently approved (in the past month) - have you received your new cards yet? How long did it take for the status to change to Card Produced, and how long until the card actually arrived? Thanks!
