  1. The decision was made easier for us because I'm currently living with him instead of being thousands of miles apart. For couples unable to live together, I can see how the extra money and hassle might be worth it.

I was wondering about living in the same country your spouse is. (If I read this post correct) This does not hinder the application process??? Just wondering.. Pre-thanks, John

  2. I have been reading this forum for a few days on the K-3 and K-1 choices... I am going to Argentina in April to see my best friend and future life partner for the first time in person. I have been reading every thread I can find about K-1 and K-3 visa. My fiancee and I have been trying to decide which way to go... The choice is to file K-1 visa and go thru that process without getting married in Argentina for now...

BUT we really want to marry because of the family there and it may be a long time before we are able to return to Argentina again.. I guess I am asking if we marry in Argentina we are required to fill a K-3 visa, will it take longer than a K-1 visa???? Pre-thanks again, John

  3. Hi all, I have a question that is kinda related. I didnt' want to start a new thread because I am sure the answer is here somewhere.... I just can't find it!!

I met a wonderful woman in Argentina. We only have online relationship so far. I am going to meet her in April. I asked her to marry me in Dec 06. We have decided to go with the K-1 visa.

My question is: Since we probably will not get back to Argentina once her visa is approved we want to marry there when I go to see her this April. Will this mess up the process if we do? Pre-thanks for any info... John
