  1. My wife and I was talking about seeing each other and the price of air fairs have doubled in the last 6 months. Now that I had to resign from my job money is a little tight and I was hoping to wait till the interview to decide on traviling but she is getting very depressed as most of us do. I don't really care what the cost of the airfair is but I would hate to see us have to turn around and spend another 4 or 5g in airfairs two weeks after I return home... Especially without her again.... My heart can't take another good bye!!!!

How long does it usually take after the NOA2 till the interview????

I have been looking at timelines but they vary so much. I still have not decided to go with the K3 or the CR1...... But at this point I just want to get my wife home..... :help:

  2. Interesting read... Look at the link in my signature ( www.ftknox.info My other nightmare ) if you think you got it bad.... There isn't a lawyer in Alaska that will touch any job related discrimination or very few workers comp because of the pipeline that was built back in the 70s..... Right to work state or (get the hell out if ya don't like it) Best to ya for sure

  3. LOL I tried two times to get this started for the July K3 filers!!!! Yea, we should get the next round simetime in December.... Looks like most are taking about 5 months... then we wait some more... Don't look like it will be a merry Christmas for me and my wife. I have been with her for 20 days in the last two years of our relationship... I guess a few months more will just bring us a little closer... shishhhhhh the waiting!!!!!! And being in the interior of Alaska don't help none  Hang in there all! John (Stuck in a frozen hell) and Nora (Somewhere in sunny Argentina)
  4. congratulation. keep in touch it be a while till we see you again best of luck and take care :crying::crying::crying::crying: i am just so happy for you

    I am not going anywhere!

What is going on with immagration in this country is wrong!

Putting immigrant employment before american citizens is wrong.

Granting people visa's in 2months and making us wait years for ours to be approved is (sorry mods) BULLSHIT!!

I will continue to come here and learn and help people with their problems.

    Rick

    ps: thanks everybody

Especially the married families that spend every dime on their family and the other 90 cents in taxes paying for the illegals... Congrats on your wonderful life.... I just hope soon the rest of us are so happy... Congrats again...

  5. Filing an I-129F would be a waste of money at this point. So hopefully the major part of your wait is over. Forget the I-129F -- you don't need it.

I take it that by now this is in IR-1 / CR-1 catagory now.... Am I wrong? It has been 4 months since I filed and not even a touch. I did not send in the I-129F because if there was a mistake on the I-130 I felt it would be best to correct the I-129F before I sent it...... Wondering now!!!!

  6. Hi Kristy,

The best thing to do is read this --> Step-by-Step Guide on How to File for a K-3 Visa for your Foreign Spouse

Follow each step carefully and when in doubt.... read it again..

I know there is an overwelming amount of things to do when you file without using a lawyer but VJ has a fantastic amount of knowledge assembled here so read the guides and search the forums.

Welcome to VJ and hang in there.... John and Nora

  7. Hi Sys,

If you look at my timeline you'll see that my I-130 was approved far ahead of my I-129F. For us, the K3 is still the way to go since we will most likely get the K3 interview before the I-130 interview. You're not alone. :)

I must be missing something else. What is the difference in a K3 and a I-130 interview?? I was told to forget filing the I-129F and go with the IR1 / CR1!! hmmmmmm again  I guess I really need to read more

  8. hmmmm seems like every time I read these forums I learn something new. Thanks!!

I have a few questions please... I see you filed just before the price gouge I mean increase. What was the total you paid to file both petitions? 190 + 170 ????

I filed my I-129F just before the increase and paid the $190.. I have been told on another topic that I don't have to pay anything when I file the I-130.... pushbrk said in a previous post that "If you send an I-129F now, there is no fee, regardless of when you sent your I-130. Filing both together now requires one fee only, the I-130 fee." I am going to file it as soon as I know for sure. Each form has a amount that is required to pay... ie: $170 for the I-129F and $190 for the I-130... Is it just me that I am confused!!! shishhhhhh

My other question is: If I don't have to pay the $355 fee for filing the I-130 now, has it always been this way when filing the K-3 visa petition? Sorry for being so dense... Thanks again..
