Hello, does anybody have a rough estimate of how long the process is after the i130 is approved?

It would be good to have a bit of an estimate as I've recently found out I'm pregnant and I know you can't travel after 7/8 months being pregnant. And would just like to know how long everything roughly takes. thank you

USCIS approval at Texas Service Center took us exact 7 Months.

You could try to have them expedite your case since you are Pregnant and you do have Valid reason.

    Hi all,

New to this forum! Hope everyone is doing well. I have to say, the wealth of knowledge and support on these threads is incomparable.

We started our process (IR1) back in May 2018 and are in the final stages of getting our case complete. Our lawyer doesn't have the best attention to detail and it has been frustrating working with him on our case. We got our case number from NVC on Dec 20 and all our paperwork was submitted by Jan 3rd. The issue is that while our DS260 and civil documents got accepted today, we got an INVALID DOC message from NVC on our AOS submission - it turns out Form I864 and 2017 W2 are missing from the submission and upon closer inspection, I JUST found out that our lawyer submitted the wrong file where the 864 had to be submitted. #facepalm

I've asked him to submit the correct forms and documents ASAP but does anyone here know how long would the process typically take for acceptance of resubmitted documents? We are a pivot case so everything is happening through CEAC.

Thanks in advance and good luck to all :)

I am also from NYC. May I know the name of your lawyer. Just curious that it’s not the same lawyer that we hired who at last became pain in @$$. You may also send me private message.

How much time NVC take to process AOS and IV fees once paid? I did payment on 1/9 but still it says in process ,fees is already withdrawn from my account .

Anywhere around 1-2 days. or about. That’s when I did mine and also kept eyes on others timelines. Then you submit all documents. That takes 13-14 days to case close.

Am done with biometrics. you have to login at ustraveldocs.com/in. Then you have to login as a new user. On left hand side you'll see option of scheduling appointment, select that option and after putting few details you'll get a list on timings which are available  (on a particular day that you opt for). that's it😊. you can select time slot according to your preference.

Finally got scheduled. What a Pain in @$$ was that. I also called Support Number to confirm. Everything is good. Now just left to schedule Medical appt. That won’t be Pain. It’s just a call away.

    Hi all,

Congratulations to all who have received case completions and interview dates in the past few weeks. We made it!!

It has been a long journey and we are one step closer to having our loved one(s) in our arms, soon. :D

I just received my CC email today (January 8th), and I am seeing people receiving interviews at Mumbai Consulate for end of February. Does this mean the likelihood of my wife's interview will be in March? or should I keep my hopes up that it will be in February. Somebody PLEASE enlighten me!

Congrats 😁. You can look at others timelines and make an estimate. There have been some CC in early Dec like Dec 1-4 and mine was Dec 20 the interview was scheduled about a day or so afar for those and my case.

    Hey Shan,

For medical you just call the hospital. In Punjab people go to Mohali Max in Chandigarh to get their medical done, your spouse will need D260 confirmation page and the appointment letter. As for fingerprints I'm not too sure, we hired a laywer to see the entire process through so he will be making our biometrics appointment for us. But from what he told me fingerprints can be done in New Delhi, or the day before the interview at Mumbai. When I find out more I'll send you a dm.

    Thanks a Lot Bro.

In Mohali, Do you have to make an appointment? or Is it just a walk-in? Do we need to call there before visiting?

    Please keep me updated.

    Thanks a lot Bhaji!

Shortly after the shutdown was declared, the American centre in Delhi and those in Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai, which host cultural events and operate libraries, put out statements announcing that they would “remain closed until further notice”.

The answer is right there in your quote, “American centre in Delhi and those in Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai, which host cultural events and operate libraries.”

It’s posted on Mumbai Consulate Twitter that they are not closed and just above mentioned sections are closed. Mumbai Consulate is still working, scheduling and interviewing. It’s just “Extra and Un-Necessary” Stuff has been shut down.
