is it possible for me to bring her to the States?

i am a bit confused. i see there are two forms AR 11 and I 865 for address change. My wife;s peition is approved and she is in the US now. i have recently moved so i need to do a address change so i can fill EAD out.

which for do i fill out.

send in your packet 3 as soon as you know your case has left NVC to go to the embassay and you have the case number. you do not have to wait for the packet 3 to get to you first.

i have heard that AOS fees is being jacked to like $1000 from $375.

courier only, my wife asked is she could pick up the passport in person because she is living with her parents(in ahmedabad) while the passport and other mails go to my address (in Ghandhinagar) they said no. but they said she could pick it up from the post office. (i don t know what that means)

they spelled my wife's name wrong on the interview letter. will this cause any issues with the interview process? wife is going to visit the VFS office to check on this but any input from you guys will be appreciatd.

No it is not important. The rest of the interivew process looks at your passport and approval papers with case number rather than your interivew letter. We checked with Local VFS office. Though, i emailed Mumbai consulate whom sent us another interview letter with correct info on it in PDF format.

regarding vaccination, does your significant other have all their records for the vaccination? if not what are you going to do? or what did you do?

via which courier did you receive your packet 3? and/or packet 4? we never received our packet 3. packet 4 is still in the air it was mailed to us on june 19th.

3. if the packgage is lost (or never received) what can i do?

Mumbai consulate scheduled intererview on 19th they received our packet 3 on 17th (June) scheduled interview on 26th.

i believe that (don t hold me to my words) they are the same thing they are called police certificates. they perform background checks etc and assign these certs to you.

most states won t give you certificates unless you have the interview letter so you have to send in the packet 3 in order to get packet 4 and the interview letter. the certs are given within 48 hours from when you have asked for. check with your local passport office they are better help. don t wait to send in your packet 3 since you don t need those certs until your interview date.

call NVC every day until you have your case number

once you have the case number call them until they say they no longer have the case and tell you that your Embassay has it

if you cannot get through the NVC call department of state they are more helpful and give you much more details about the case however you will need the case number to get the status from the department of state.

you will probably no longer receive any notices

yes since there are conflicting information...the other day some suggested that i should wait till i receive the packet3 in hand. turns out it was sent to my home in india but no one was home and then never tried to redeliver it

nonetheless, i got a new email re-confirming that it is ok to download packet 3 from mumbai consulate site

wish1510, i suggest once you are approved and know NVC has the case make sure you call everyday to find out what is your status with NVC and then call DOS to find out if bombay has received your case

as soon as you find out they have your case mail in the packet 3 this will save you around 13-15 days and perhaps get your interview date faster.

they confirmed that the case is open, packet 3 is sent and hence mumbai is waiting to receive the packet 3.
