We will fly in June 4th, Thursday. I do not count that day. I counted 14 full days starting Friday, June 5th. My 14 days would end Thursday, June 18th. We fly out Friday, June 19th. That is how I counted my days. 

Same here! Flying June 8 (excluded that day) and counted 14 full days starting June 9 to then fly out on June 23.

Looked on www.amextravel.com and saw hotel rooms were available for online booking 6/1, same with hotels.com and booking.com, Airbnb.com

Yup. I excluded day of entry and day of departure just in case. I spent 14 whole days in México excluding those

Yeah keep contacting around. Last I saw many Hilton’s and Marriotts have availabilities for starting 6/1 again and many other Airbnb’s.

I would think going to visit family and friends could be considered a non-essential travel at this time. But if you show them your K1 visa and explain the visa is set to expire soon and you are going to quarantine for 14 days before entering the USA then it will be fine. As other members here already have experienced have your ticket to the USA handy to show as proof you are indeed travelling to the USA afterwards. Besides that on June 1st is when the country is trying to get back to somewhat normal level of business so the scrutiny should be minimized by officials. 

There are a few people who have taken their AirBnBs off the market but around where I am there is a good selection available despite being banned.

Agreed. Mexico will end lockdown on 6/1. All hotels and Airbnb’s will be available starting 6/1. Just be honest with immigration at arrival. 

be honest for sure! Other people were saying that they went there only to quarantine and it is completely valid for them too!

I booked a flat in Polanco through airbnb from June 4 for 15 days. 

You can book a flight that lays over in Non EU countries  then fly onward to the USA.....DO not risk reissue 

Thank you so much for your help, you have made and saved my day! I suppose this will be my safety net in case the other hotel near the airport is not taking "tourist" reservations either. 

The Green Park Hotel in México is still taking reservations and it is in Polanco,- safe area. 

Croatia is a very safe place for tourists across the board. But at this moment in time, there is no way to get from Croatia to the US without transferring through Schengen area or UK, which makes it a non-option. 

After my fiancee arrives we will get married as soon as possible. Then I can place her under my health insurance.

I MADE IT!!! POE was a breeze!!! Absolutely no problems traveling from Mexico into the US with a K1 visa!! Wow I’m so relieved right now it’s insane. What an adventure! I really hope all of you can make it into the US too!! I would definitely recommend traveling to Mexico! My POE was Charlotte btw, nearly empty. It was super fast  

In the news, the land border travel ban from Mexico to the USA has been extended to June 22. However it does not effect air travel as the text below states:
 
At this time, this Notification does not apply to air, freight rail, or sea travel between the United States and Mexico, but does apply to passenger rail, passenger ferry travel, and pleasure boat travel between the United States and Mexico. These restrictions are temporary in nature and shall remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 22, 2020. This Notification may be amended or rescinded prior to that time, based on circumstances associated with the specific threat.
