Hello Houston Fillers.... based on your experience on EAD renewal... what do you think is the best time to do it? 6, 5 or 4 months before expiration date?

mine expired october 13,2018 submitted renewal july 24 2018 was running late but it seems like fingerprint print review was completed on July 27 ,2018 and thats the last update ever since.i been using my 180 day extension to work and got my dl as well with that

Sometimes they send out interview notices randomly but within the month bracket. Who gets a notice first is a function of speed from IOs (Interview Officers).

What that means is that an applicant with a PD of May 30, 2017 ( who may not be on this platform), might have already received a notice just because some officers work faster than others.

But one thing that I can tell you is that they are currently moving at a faster pace than usual, simply because the holidays are coming. I'm saying this based on my experience exactly this period, last year.

Your letter is coming, just be on the lookout for it.

i hope they are moving faster and because of the holidays they dont slow down.!!i would not like to wait till 2019 to get my interview.but all we can do is hope...its stressfull

Okay, the priority date on the i-797 is blank (probably because we are doing an adjustment from I-129F, not I-130).  The received date is April 25, 2017.

We had another infopass appointment today, mainly to ask about the combo card renewal status. The officer said they are currently processing work and travel permit applications from April, 2018.  Since we applied in March, he agreed to send an inquiry by email and let us know later what he finds out.

He also mentioned that interviews are actually scheduled at NBC prior to sending the application packet to the field office. This surprised me because I assumed each office would handle their own scheduling, but he said it’s an anti-corruption measure.

so are you still waiting for the letter for your interview ?

We received an electronic notice today that USCIS has scheduled our interview and mailed the interview letter.  We waited 548 days.

Side note for those obsessively checking case status online: right now, the egov.uscis.gov site shows the updated status "Interview was scheduled", but the myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov site has not yet been updated. I thought the DHS site was supposed to be replacing the egov site, so I was a little surprised that the egov site was updated first.

what is your pd?if i may ask

Houston office is currently sending out interview letter to the applicants with PDs in April 2017. Seems like Houston is slowly catching up.
My PD is June 2017 and I am getting slightly excited. I'm even fantasizing about having my interview scheduled by the end of this year. That would be the nicest Christmas and New Year gift ever and a reward for all the hard work I've done since I moved to the US.

very exciting to hear this maybe we might have a chance at getting something by the end of this year.my pd is june 2017 as well. lets cross our fingers and hope for the best.we have been waiting for along time.

Indeed. And no interview; but that was before the "interview required" policy kicked in I believe. Local offices tend to fluctuate and anyone who's been to the Houston office knows it's fairly busy.
