Haha!  He applied for dozens of jobs!  Finally got through part time for a cleaning place, and then full time with a temp agency.  If you have them in your area then try that!
we did use that number and it came back not valid.  Was hoping to find an e-mail address to get through to an actual person.

If that doesn’t work for you call USCIS, the wait will Be long but call and inquire about the status. Our status only changed from payment received -> green card processing -> green card mailed out.

I’m in NY too.  We still haven’t gotten it and his job just said he will be let go if they dont get it soon.  His temporary on passport expires 2/27, so getting closer and anxious.  Is there a way to check the status?  I tried calling and got no where because the case ID wouldn’t work.

Yes. I believe the number starts with IOExxxxxxxxx. Check the email confirmation you got when you paid for the green card fee. Enter that into the case status inquiry on USCIS.

And lucky you, we’ve been looking for a job for my husband and till no luck. Ugh he’s itching to work and I’m itching for him to work too 🤣🤣

  3. Hi, sorry to interrupt but I just wanted to clarify as I’m (kinda) in the same boat.

My husband came to America in October after we filed the 130 and it was approved, his passport/visa is stamped (which activates his LPR status), but he has an emergent need to travel back to his home country to finish up some legal matter (with his business and personal properties) but we haven’t received his GC in the mail yet.

just so be clear and sure, he CAN travel with the activated visa/temporary i551 that’s in his passport before his GC comes with no issues right? Please advise. TIA!

  4. Good day guys.. I hope you guys are well despite the fact of the tribulations you’re facing with the cancellations. But just Gwan wul the faith guys when your loved ones touch down in the US you’ll forget and it’ll all be worth it.

Just came back to the states last week — was wondering if you guys had any idea how long it will take to receive the green card in the mail?

    Good Morning,

We went as suggested, and got turned back.  😢.   All interviews were canceled for today.  They did not give anymore information regarding why.  They said for more info we must e-mail.  So we just sent an e-mail and waiting to hear more info.

Most likely to sanitize the building as there have been so many cases popping up in Kingston. Gwan hold the faith man .. it’s gonna work out in due time!

To be exact they said they remain closed to routine drives including interviews for immigrant visas to help mitigate the stores of the virus.

Thank you. I appreciate your response.

You know what’s crazy, I emailed them last Thursday. I got 2 automated responses, this same one you posted and another one stating that they would be getting back to me soon (which they still haven’t) so I would call them to see if they are indeed closed because I think that’s an automated response that was from the first lockdown.

I emailed Jamaica embassy regarding this and they told me they are not processing immigrant nor non-immigrant visas any longer because of local conditions basically which is unconstitutional.

August 28th was only a few days ago, and the Jamaican embassy suspended the processing of a visas actually so just hang tight. I’m sure you’ll hear something soon. It’s definitely time for them to get moving with the K1s — after all we’re all human and we wanna be close to our significant others.

We all want to be approve but at the same time if something seems off it’s a natural reaction to think something is wrong but @mrstoyou17 hopefully your hear good news soon

Anyway honey...wonder if any interviews done yet? 👀👀👀

Sane! Everyone on this forum will get through in Jesus’ name! We got this 💪🏾

Sounds like something may have gone wrong with the medical. Oh dear, the best course of action is to do as the Fosters said and email the embassy. Hope everything works out.

This is actually the same situation we’re in. It says refused but he told us it would until the medical updates in their system. So no worries, just email.

Wow. They really have a back log then.

Yes. They said sometime this week so it’s looking like a 2-3 week wait.

also guys I didn’t remember to say! If you’re flying into Jamaica for the interview MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE TEST BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AND QUARANTINE FOR 14 days.

because I have an American Passport I was stopped 5x asking questions about my arrival into Jamaica, even though it was before corona. So if you are coming come at least 2 weeks before the interview.

  11. We were approved for our visa pending medical results!!

questions were very simple, but there was a CO that was a little bit more intense:

    who’s filing

    whats the relationship to you

    where did you meet

how long have you been dating

how many kids do you have together? (Asked for proof, birth certificate)

have you ever applied for a tourist visa, if so when
what do you do for work
    have you ever been arrested

then we were approved Ofc depending on the results of the medical that should be in sometime this week, there is a severe backlog.  💪🏾🤗

also guys! Bonus tip and will definitely lighten the COs mood is if you have the 2019 transcripts! So please try to get them because they were highly annoyed with people who didn’t have them.

  12. Gm guys! Congrats on all the interviews! It’s getting reallll 😩🙌🏾

Question — is anyone not planning on traveling right away (as soon as their visa is issued)? I’m terrified to travel back to the US with my 6month old 😩 I know they give 6months to enter the country but idk how to feel about traveling with her especially since she can’t wear a mask. Any others in that boat or have advice to offer?

Your tax transcripts are available for immediate download from the IRS site here https://sa.www4.irs.gov/eauth/pub/login.jsp?Data=VGFyZ2V0TG9BPUY%3D&TYPE=33554433&REALMOID=06-000e9548-6cd3-16f7-9748-483c0adb4007&GUID=&SMAUTHREASON=0&METHOD=GET&SMAGENTNAME=UOkC7yx4eMTO24FGxPfBRb5q3Mj3Xh3pyXfBEjYyHJ97nGCXu16wx5MzFHjfZmlG&TARGET=-SM-https%3a%2f%2fsa.www4.irs.gov%2ficce--core%2fload%2fgettrans%2fpages%2favailableTranscripts.xhtml Create an account, register and follow the instructions for your transcript. Not sure what you mean by "original copy" as it's something you download from their website and print out.

I don’t have some of the things needed for the download .. therefore they have to be mailed.
