    Hello everyone,

we need your help and advice, my mother in law is sick and my wife needs to go visit her. We are planning to submit  an AP with medical letter from the hospital to expedite the process. what is the fastest way to get it approved. can we go to the field office and submitted there? some online blogs states that we can go to the field office and submit all documents and they can grant it on the same day, is this true? Also how long is she allowed to stay out of USA on AP?

    Thank you.

Yes, I read something like that too, when is a emergency you can go to your local office and I think they stamp your passport or they give you a letter.

Omg I received this update tonight, does this mean im getting a green card or work card?.. 😃 I have been waiting just over a year for this. My AOS was denied last november and we had to open a motion for reconsideration. I guess they approved me now😊 right? lol  My heart is beating with joy! God is so good I prayed hard for this and literally today I prayed and now this.

To find out look the case numbers, you have a case number for EAD and another case number for I-485. Congratulations!

    Hello Everyone,

we need your help please. we field for our AOS on May, 2018 but didn't submit AP. from watching how the process is going, seems like we still have a while until we get interview so our questions are:

    - should we bother to file for AP since the process take 4 to 6 month and we might get interview before that?

    - would it effect the I-485 process?

    - how long is the applicant allowed to be out of country if they travel under AP?

thank you foe all your help.

    Yasser

    Hello

Yuo can apply for AP no problem still free won’t hurt anything. You may have your interview before you get the AP at this point. But that will depend of your local office processing times.

I had my interview on 26th feb. Interview went well. It lasted for 30 minutes IO asked regular yes or no questions then he asked  if we have any supporting documents or proof of our marriage. We had pics letters from family n friends about our mariage house lease phone pacakge together so we showed him and that's it. At the end he asked if we have any questions we replied no.

He didn't approved or denied us nor he said that he'll review our case. He didn't gave us any paper that people get when they are not approved on the spot. But I'm confused that why its taking so long to get any update.  We had our interview on 26th feb and now its almost two weeks.  Its still showing interview is scheduled on uscis portal.

Same here, but my interview was on January 30th IO didn’t approved or denied no paper, just that they will reviewed. I heard of people that has been waiting for more than 90 or 120 days. Hopefully they don’t take that long to approve our cases.

    Why is it confusing?

I went from f2b to f3 family base category, I have the 245(i)  and also my wife is using my 245(i) ( as after aquaire) and Im using cross-chargeability (Im from Mexico and my wife is from Venezuela) which no all of the IO’s are aware of it, They does not know what is about. I explain everything in the cover letter, So hopefully they figure out my case soon.

  6. I had my interview last week and the officer was not very informed about my case she said it was very confusing and yes it is, but we’re interviewed me and wife  (derivative) all the yes / no questions, how  We met, where, She kept photos where we’re with our children, saw the marriage certificate etc ... in the end she only said that on Fridays they reviewed the cases that they could not solve during the week and that was all, she did not give me any paper. and so far nothing my status keeps saying that the interview was scheduled.

Hello, I have just found this thread and feel so relieved to find people in the same boat who have been on this journey already.

I got married and filed our I 485. I have received already my EAD combo card.

As of July 17th my status says 'READY TO SCHEDULE'.

By looking through this thread it seems Orlando is not a quick office?

I also wanted to ask did anyone get a DL/Florida ID while they were waiting? How did you go about this?

    Thank you!
