good question I had my interview last Monday and don't know where's my passport.
Did you finally get your passport? What was the turnaround time? Any others who have gone to a recent interview, can you provide any input?

What case are you? IR1/CR1 or a K-1... I didn't see that you have a timeline yet with dates. Just wondering I got CC on 02/20 and I am still waiting to be scheduled for an interview. When was your CC?
I’m a F2B. Had CC: 1/25/19. Yours is prob coming.

Sorry to hear. They scheduled my interview Monday right after Semana Santa. 🤨 Can’t get medical exams done prior interview because medical offices will be closed, which means I have to ask for 1 month off work....

Has anyone gone thru a recent interview? Just wanted to check how long it’s taking to get your passports back after an approved interview. Is there an option to pick it up instead of having it mailed?

Congratulations! And thanks for the update. When you say letter, I assume you mean e-mail?
I mentioned the timeline https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=308683 because it's really helpful for other people to gauge the length of their progress.
We are still waiting for our appointment email, as are Cari & Andy UB who are just a few days behind us with their CC. Hopefully we'll both be notified next week.
Do you plan to attend the interview with your spouse?
Yes email.
Mine was a parent-adult child petition so a little different then most but only applicant is going.

Yea, very few us from CR on here. There are a couple of others here expecting interviews around around the same time frame. Wasn't tracking you since your time line is blank. Would you mind to contribute by filling it out?
OMG!!! Literally, after you responded to my post I received the letter from NVC with interview date. I’m so happy.
So here’s my timeline...
Submitted NVC docs/fees: 1/3/19
CC: 1/25/19
Interview date letter: 3/8/19
Interview: 4/23/19 in Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Hoping there are more letters coming for those of you still waiting.
Don’t lose hope! 🙏🏻
PS: Google docs has been updated

Hello!
I finally received my approval notice today!!!!!! It has a posted date of 12/19/18. Best X-mas present!
I filed 4/19/18 so it LITERALLY took 8 months. My case was in Nebraska, which I hear is much slower. Hopefully NVC works a little bit faster now.
Just wanted to give everyone an idea on the timeline as well as a little bit of hope because I know there are times it feels imposible to reach. Patience is key!! 😊😊
Best wishes to everyone!
Might belong to a different post but wanted to give an update on my case.
Waiver approved: 12/19/18
Submitted NVC docs/fees: 1/3/19
CC with NVC: 1/25/19
Interview date letter: 3/8/19
Interview: 4/23/19 in Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Thank God this long journey is getting closer to the end. For all those waiting, don’t lose hope!

My CC is on 2/14
According to the spreadsheet, the last VJ member scheduled was on 2/8. Has anybody else been scheduled after 2/8 on here?
Have you heard anything? I’m also waiting for interview in CR! Very few people from CR on here. I have a CC of 1/25/19 just trying to get some idea of a timeline.

Unfortunately you can't check this step. I had similar problems with NVC. USCIS didn't notify NVC from my filed waiver and schedule interview to me. NVC doesn't accept my copy from filed waiver..
Was it a filed waiver or approved waiver? So what do you do in that case? Reschedule interview?

Congratulations! Next step: fill out DS260 online and send I864 with your documents to NVC. Or if you already did this step, you have to wait USCIS informed NVC from your approval waiver and NVC will schedule your interview.
If you need help just message me.
Is there any way to find out if USCIS has sent waiver approval to NVC? Every time I call NVC to inquire, they’re not helpful! Just trying to figure out my timeline if it’s even possible

hey everyone!
so my husband was approved in June 15, 2018 ...... we got another letter in September stating they received everything they needed and that we should basically wait for our interview. about a week ago I received an email from USCIS saying my case had updated. I'm assuming they were barely notified of our approval. does anyone know where I can call to check for our appointment in Juarez? if so please let me know
Were you able to call? Is there a way to find out whether USCIS has notified NVC of an approved waiver? I was approved in December and it still says “fingerprint fee received” on the USCIS website 😕

Has anyone here had any experience with filing a 601-A and interviewing in CR? Just wondering if the embassy moves as quickly with 601a as with K-1 CR1 petitions.

For us it took about 6 weeks for nvc to teceive our 1601a approval. And then after they received all the documentation they need, it takes them about 2 months to send you a letter of "cc" (case complete) saying that your case is complete and its waiting an appointment slot available. My letter has a date of June 21 and I'm still waiting for an appointment. Theres another group waiting for appointments and it seems that the people with cc of may, have appointments in February. So I'm hopeful for a March app. Good luck yo you all!!
Do you know the name of the “group” for those waiting on appointments?

Hi guys. My I-601A was approved a month ago. Now just getting paperwork together and then lawyer will submit the case.
Can someone please shed light on what type of questions are asked at the interview and what does the medical exam entail? What is the process of psychologist and do they do a drug test. I keep hearing such mixed things online. Also in my case my father applied for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
Do you mind sharing your timeline? I applied for my daughter April 2018, still waiting 😞

OMG! 🤨 Just looked this a.m. and was happy to see April 10th. We have no other choice but to be patient. Hopefully they’ll start moving along again...🙏🏻

It’s been almost 8 months, and no answer so far , I was told 4 months for a approval ,😡
It‘s definitely taking longer than 4 months, especially if it’s being processed at Nebraska. Have you submitted an inquiry. Looks like they’re on April 10, 2018.

Hello everyone!
I’m petioning for my adult daughter, F2B category. Just wondering about others’ timelines who are in same category. I’ve seen most 601-A here are for spouses. Also, Is anyone filing from Costa Rica? Just trying to get an idea how long it takes after approval and how was the whole interview process in CR overall.
Here’s my info:
Received: 4/23/18
Biometrics: 5/30/18
Now waiting just like the rest. Thanks in advance to any ticos out there! 😜

I completed the process almost 1 yr ago (April, 2019) under an F2B (adult son of permanent resident) The interview went pretty smoothly, lasted like 5min. They just asked basic questions, jobs we both held in the US? How long we had been employed for? Etc They allowed the petitioner (my mother) to be at the interview as well, which was nice.
