Hi there, what is the current status of everyone’s file ? My file is stuck at  NVC , they received my case on jan 15 but its not assigned yet. M tired of calling them everyday  what do i do its been 45 days today, still no sign of further procedure.

Yes exactly, the number which we have right now is the receipt number given from USCIS, once our file is transferred to NVC they generate a case number which is different from the USCIS receipt number, and later on we have to check case status on NVC website too. Process from USCIS comes to an end as our file is transferred to NVC and from there NVC process starts with a new case number, this case number takes a lot of time to assign because of que and crowd at NVC  u know it took atleast an hour on waiting when i called NVC for inquiry and they are rude sometimes

Stay positive you will get your approval soon, keep hope and just pray. Even i am stressed because of this process, my file reached NVC after 5 weeks of approval where i thought it would take just 2 weeks. Now i need to wait for 4-8 weeks for case number

This is the new website where you have to make your account and register yourself, you can see your process of your ongoing form and alot more. I guess they change the status here at first, and then they change it at old website. Here you go https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

You will get approval soon dont worry  please keep checking new website, as they didn't changed my file status on old website frequently.

Yes it means the office have received your RFE reply, bdw  did you got approved yet ? Mine got approved in like 4 days from the day they received it

our case was approved on october 18 and sent to Nvc on October 24 ,My husband called them on november 05th and they said that they have received our case on nov 02nd,  and said that it takes 8 weeks to assign a case number (to assign is to create your case number) , so on 18 december we received an email with the case number and invoice number to pay the fee (120Dollar +325Dollar). they dont call you to informe that they received it you have to call them.

for us it took 8weeks from the approval to receive the case number by NVC.

now we are about to pay fees , good luck for all of us.

Very good evening to you too and Thank you very much 😊, i didn’t know about this before  thank you for letting me know, i only knew that i have to pay fees and submit sponsor documents once file is approved. Right now I just pray  all this stressful process of everyone come to an end ASAP. 😊

received on november 02nd and case number was assigned on december 18 (6 weeks 2 days). 

Congratulations! Am happy for you, i just received my approval letter in mail, i just want to know what happens once the case is sent to NVC, i don’t understand where you wrote “my case was assigned”, is it like a que? Like you need to wait and they would call you? Please let me know what is this assign thing after the NVC receives our case. :( why is it taking so long :( 

Finally got approved on 14th december, they received my RFE reply on 10th and changed the status to approved on 14th on new website, but i still didn’t received mail and even at old website status has not changed, please anyone tell me after many days do you get approval letter mailed at your place once the status is changed on your account.

Am still waiting for my file to get approved, 

i mailed them my RFE reply on 12th and they received it on 19th nov, but then didnt changed the status yet  am thinking to call them now!!

This Morning I received an email Notification saying that My case was approved yesterday October 23rd 2018. 

 

The new Website has not yet updated, Still waiting on the Paper Mail to come.

You will get approved soon, dont worry, they don’t take alot of time, i saw maximum time span is like 200-210 days

My PD was April 20th, and I just got my NOA-2 in the mail like an hour ago (Oct. 20th). I just checked the website, and it says that my petition was actually approved on the 17th! That means it was slightly less six months between NOA-1 and NOA-2.

The CSR was a very nice guy and informed me that the update may have been a mistake, and there was no notice sent to me!

He then transferred me to a tier 2 representative who was a very rude lady, and reiterated the same info. No notice sent yet!

So, I guess. I should just keep waiting.

I had my NOA1 delivered at the same address with no problem. I don't see why it's a problem now!

The email says, Your Case Status: Initial Review

So, I am guessing its a notice for additional info or something, because if approved the case status online should have shown that. 😞

I went ahead and filled the form in that link to request copy of that notice.

Should I also call them to find out, or just wait?

Please call them and ask whats the issue.

The VJ timeline said we might hear something starting October 19. What coincidence - we did! 😁

 

So happy! Now waiting for the actual letter.

My personal opinion on lawyers is that never appoint them. Majority of the lawyers either treat cases casually or are not updated enough with the process. And even if they do everything perfectly, one can not predict USCIS action.

 

Do your research, it doesnt take much time. 

 

Also its not that your is certainly going to take 3 months. You might get approved in a week or two as well.

My in-laws appointed a lawyer, i hope everything would sorted out ASAP! Fingers crossed, gonna reply to RFE next week.
