    Long time stalker of this thread, thought I'd add to it since we finally have good news and it gives me hope when I see others post lol.  We got scheduled for our interview yesterday!  El Paso office.  AOS submitted June 22, biometrics July 19.  Got an RFE 8-26 for his birth certificate - which we 1000% sent along with a certified translation - so no idea why we got that RFE.  I sent a snarky but professional cover letter (risky, I know ha) along with the same copies and a different version of the birth certificate - even though both were official, and the status finally changed yesterday to Interview Scheduled! yay!

    Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I need some help!  My fiancé (France) just got here on a K1 (Texas).  He has received his SSN.  Chase refused to open him a bank account saying he didn't have enough proof of ID/residency.  He has his passport/ I94 and SSN.  They said he needs something with his US address on it like a utility bill (the SSN letter with his address apparently wasn't proof enough).  Problem is, he lives with me in my all bills paid apartment which is under my name.  The apartment will only add his name to the lease for an additional $400, ugh.  Phone bill is also under my name as it was cheaper to add to the family plan.  I have internet but idk if you can just switch a name, without canceling and getting a whole other one, which is a hassle.  Does anyone have any advice or recommend a bank they had a good experience with?  Or is he just out of luck for a bank account?  We haven't tried another bank quite yet.

    Hi, I've been following this forum for a while, but first time posting.  I've been checking the new and old site religiously the past few days, as our NOA1 was April 20/25th.  No change or notification, but I received a RFE today in the mail.  Kinda bummed, but an easy fix as they just need more proof of meeting in the past 2 years (as if the timeline and 30 labeled pictures I sent was not enough 🤔). But at least some progress!!
