We filed on June 16 and received or 1 year extension letter on the 25th... Nothing else yet- Just trying to get a feel for how long of a wait we are in for. The CSC website says 6months whats the general consensus around here?

thanks everyone! So what happens if it takes longer the 90 days to process can you still work ?

In feb of 2010 we will have been married 2 years can we file anytime after that , In sept 2010 it will be the end of his 2 yr greencard. I know they said at the interview before 3 months of exp. is there a limit to how many months before exp. that you can file?

we were in AP for 9 months. There a lot of posts about this in the Mena Section. It is not easy and there is no rhyme or reason to who flys through AP and who waits even over a year.

Don't get to worked up - just be patient it is really out of your hands now. Get the co-sponsor in order and just be patient.

I wish you the best ... I hope its smooth sailing for you but dealing with the egyptian consulate was a nightmare for us. Just be prepared for a long wait and a possibility of have you case end up at the bottom of the stack with nothing you can do about it. You might want to consider moving to Egypt to be with your love this would benefit you in two ways 1. you could really get to know each other and make sure about this marriage 2. When you do apply for the visa it shows you really know each other and have spent the time together to prove it. Just a thought I know how hard it is to uproot and move but after you have converted , found this new love - maybe living in egypt would really be a great opportunity for you and your family. I don't know if at all doable for you but it is just a thought. You could really immerse yourself in Islam 24/7.

I don't know why it s happening im sure its nothing you did. big hugs , keep doing your best and try toi take it as it comes and not connect it all together. , then you will fill overwhelmed for sure

People have lives , people have kids with there exs, sometimes they talk on the phone. You sound very childish , controlling and potentially abusive. If you feel so strongly about this and and so much anger, maybe you should consider professional help for yourself. Quit blaming your wife for your insecurities, if anything makes you less of a man its bad talking your wife and being so insecure!!! Revenge is for the ignorant and the insecure. Grow up........... well as with most cases in Egypt months and moths of AP. No one knows your past intentions but you, and on paper it does not read well. It s a hard process and there is no way of knowing what is to come The consulate will now review the papers in their hands.

The baby is so beautiful even at 3weeks early he is big!

On Nov 20th my dear friend and co-worker passed away.She was 8 1/2 months pregnant 26 years old In the morning she received news her husbands father had died. She was very upset and left work to return home. While at home she fainted and her husband caught her, he rushed her to the ER and there she was given an emergency c-section. The baby survived but my friend died they could not stop the bleeding. Im so upset my whole work is so upset.... I also attended a funeral today for my sister in-laws mom and it was my b-day. But there feels nothing to celebrate and I am just left pondering why this has happened. It is not fair!!!! My husband has been a great source of comfort but I really can't imagine how this can all come to pass.

Mey was soooooo excited to be a mom it was her every thought and now in her greatest sacrifice her child survives,,,, He is so beautiful to. Treasure your time and your loved ones..... Send your prayers to this father who has been left with more pain than anyone should have to see

Getting paid under the table is still getting paid. Although they don't report it and ask for a social you are still working without authorization.

A risk most would not take after all the trouble of getting here .
