I'd like to file a formal request with moderation that all mod input and admonishment at least be in haiku form on this thread then.
I agree with this
All mods should embrace haiku
Comply with OP.

Just let me Explain
First off, ride this crazy train
No worries, We’ll have Harmless talks
that cause no pain
As usual, you will not Complain
This time I’m sure and Certain
Wanna forget the thoughts that are driving me insane
Hey! VJ members
Your words are like rain
Dirty thoughts I need to clean
Also, It’s Good opportunity
I need to plant a grain
a grain of peace that will not be vain
days go by, we know
but everything will remain
engraved in our beautiful brain
Nice!

I found in a man
things I never knew of ME
Shared love of the ocean
the smell of the sea
He cared for my soul
then came the rest
Not seeing my face
I made it a test
We talked day and night
not knowing each other
Starting as friends
No thoughts of a lover
Our friendship showed me
many things of my worth
I learned of Islam
and my heart had rebirth
Having asked GOD for help
a time before
He brought us together
only NOW, I know what for
I have peace in my heart
and beauty from within
being loved by my man
shows assurance through my skin
The beauty outside
for sure will fade
No other can effect
the one inside...GOD made

Thanks Julianna. She has had years of female issues. First surgery was an exploratory in Feb. Then a partial hysterectomy in March and last week she had an abdominal hysterectomy. She's only 35 and now she has to accept that Lexy will be their only child. Her health should start to improve soon. She should be cleared to go back to work in July.
That is too bad.. but at least she has Lexy and her health will improve.

Hi y'all, I read posts once in a while. I don't have a reason to use the site anymore, but it's nice to see updates from old-timers as their husbands obtain citizenship and all the new baby updates.
My update~~ I left my 16 year sales career last year to persue other things, never been happier! No more stress of goals and deadlines.
I live with my daughter and her husband (and Lexy!). I have my own apartment, I call it the 'grandma' wing of the house. I work full time at a meaningless job (by choice, I will go back to sales one of these days).
My daughter had 3 surgeries this year. We hope and pray she will be all better soon. Alexis was just promoted to 4th grade! Her gpa is 3.75 and she is 9 years old now (going on 13..lol)
Thx for asking about me
Jackie
I'm sorry to hear about you daughter.

Hello from beautiful sunny Algeria!
How is everyone? Old friends ... and new ...
I just popped in to say a BIG hello and give you all some hugs!
I donnow if everyone knows but I just had my fourth baby Zahra-Cherifa this past March! ELHAMDULLAH!
I'm still living in Algeria ... life is good elhamdullah. We are still together my husband and I. Children growing. I'm busy with life here, raising my children, tutoring English, seeing my friends, working on my Algerian food blog, running up the Derdja-Algerian arabic language project on Facebook and helping out my foreign sisters living in Algeria.
Anyone want to connect with me, you can find me on FACEBOOK. But plz keep in mind I don't accept men as friends! Thanks!
So I leave you with some pictures of the view here ...
Hi! I am glad everything is working out OK for you! Lovely pics!

I came to Visa Journey with high hope.
I found my favorite poster reappear!
But when he left instead of interlope--
What will I do without his judgey leer?
But from the ether came a new poster,
Someone who wanted us to hang around:
One who lifted clouds of doubt and wonder,
A better poet no one ever found.
What will we do if Zagray ever leaves?
I don't know how we will go on in time.
He's like a Superman-- the one by Reeves!
The random English language is no crime.
This poem-off is the best thing of the day;
I am so glad you've stayed around to play.
Hey Zzz
I am sorry. I did not mean to be so harsh.. Enjoy our boards and have fun honey
Aww yeah. He's really nice. I hope he stays! Plus he forces us to do creative things which is nice too. And he makes me think of the beach, which everyone knows I seriously love.
Hi everybody! You can Write poems about everything that brought you here to this amazing website
I came here
Willing and hoping
For the VJ members to kill my fear
But nobody care
Only some called me names
And things i never thought I’d hear
Some want me to stay
And some want me to disappear
Some are envious
Well, that is clear
The MENA is like a vessel
Leading me straight to nowhere
I don’t want anybody gets the feeling we’re in a funeral
Visajourney is like a cemetery
Want to bury here my doubts and unwanted thoughts into the grave
Want to be with my fiancee that I always miss and crave
Zyzz is her bear.. long live Zyzz the brave.
Hahaha..
By the way, I enjoy the delve into an epic. Epic poetry is the best. "Beowulf" has always been a favorite of mine. Please write an epic. it can be a mini-epic, but it would be totally awesome.

Yeah I am going back for his interview at the embassy. We are hoping it will be in July. There are a lot of places Ammar can rent furnished in Amman that are pretty decent and inexpensive. Commuting isn;t fun there at all. I HATE driving there, talk about scary drivers...there are no rules of the road there LOL
Yeah, he just has to find a place. Bleh. He's used to orderly American driving now
he says they are crazy over there.

We went to the Dead Sea one of the days. We went to dinner 3 or 4 nights...coffee shops and stuff too. He works during the day so I stayed home with his Mom during most of the days, went to downtown shopping with his sister one of the days. It was a great trip, although not long enough. I'll go back again in July for 3 weeks.
Oh wow! That's pretty soon. You'll be there when Ammar is
Actually, you were there now when Ammar is lol. Ammar may have to find a place to stay in Amman, yuck. He doesn't want to commute in the last leg of research and i don't blame him.

Why do you feel the need to slam everyone? Seriously? Just because you are miserable does it mean the rest of us need to be? I am tired of reading the way you cut everyone down. If you don't like the fact that most of us are happy, I suggest you stop reading the comments here. I don't feel bad for you. The reason you're so miserable is because of your own bad decisions. We are not naive bubble heads like you seem to think we are. I just came back a few hours ago from spending time with my husband and his family in Jordan, and each time I am with him it just reinforces our love for each other and that our decision to marry each other was 100% the best thing for us. Now feel free to rip my comment apart, I don't care what you think , no matter what anyone says you will find an excuse to be miserable.
Did you get to do anything while you were there or did you mostly stay around homebase?

Charles is the Illuminati conspiracy conspiracy UFOs Mulder and Scully yadda yadda yadda.
I heard he was part of a secret part of the secret society of VJ Illuminati-Freemason-Skull-and-Bones Troop #251. Then I saw it on his sash when he was selling cookies laced with mind-control drugs to make us demure in MENA.
-
Snickers, FTW! <snickering>
He lived for like a year on snickers and coke. Obviously he ate other things, but it was pretty ridiculous.

Yeah! Caucasian older women seduce younger Arabic men by their personality and beauty.. I confess i never been very interested to Moroccan girls.. the way their personality is was different than Caucasian women.. not honest and not open most of them and i don't know why??
Tell us about it. How exactly does this happen? Did she use snickers? My husband accused me of sealing the deal with promising him a way to the land of fresh and cheap snickers.
-
I vote that this is going to be today's 5-star thread of awesome.

I promise I'm not trying to nit pick, just making conversation, but going through a school system in MENA, even on up through higher education, is absolutely no indication that all required vaccines have been done. I look up records for parents of high school kids, college kids, etc who have all kinds of gaps, that should not have been able to advance as far as they've had without someone at school noticing. If it happens here, where there's a lot better medical records keeping, it can sure happen there.
Oh I was going to say all the schools I've attended (higher ed) just want your MMR and maybe a tetanus (two schools required this, one didn't) vaccine proof. They seemed pretty hell-bent on the MMR though. But as far as the others, it was like "Whatever," and they didn't care. So you could conceivably be completely not vaccinated and just satisfy whatever minimum is at your roadblock. My graduate schools only wanted proof I had a second MMR done, but never asked for records of the first. So for all they knew, it could have been my first.
MENA's back, baby!!!
