Not sure what the usual is but for us we got our interview scheduled about 3 weeks after our status was "ready to be scheduled." If you keep checking your status, it will change to "interview was scheduled" and that's when you know to be checking the mail. We did not get our combo card yet and likely will have the green card before EAD and AP.

Thank you! Based here on my state and field office they said it might change after 3 weeks, same as what you had. Hopefully everything goes well. Is it in the mail notice what to bring during interview?

From my experiences of following others:

    1. I485 RFEs come at the beginning of the I485 process.

    2. I765/I131 RFEs come at the end of their process just before approval.

An RFE for any of them pauses the process for all.

    Thank you for insights! 😊

Tax extension. They didn't like that we sent in tax extension letter for 2017 so he needed to file his taxes early even tho it is legal to file in the fall.

Did you file this year or last year? I read that they are more strict to financial/tax records for the AOS

Almost always after biometrics, although nothing is guaranteed. Biometrics are usually weeks to a couple months after the application is filed.

EAD/AP is processed at the NBC. ETA: ~4-6 months, although some are waiting longer still.

AOS itself depends on local USCIS field office. Some may take a few months total, many are around a year, and some are 18+ months.

The processing of the above forms is done in parallel - it's not one-then-the-other.

I just thought that I can breath well already of not having RFE since we got our biometrics appointment after one month of filing the AOS papers 😂

Yes I've heard it's a case to case basis and depends on what state how long they process the EAD, AP and AOS

Thanks so much @geowrian for the swift reply, as always! 😁😊

You're accessing the wrong link. Access this one: https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/home_pdf/citizens charter/Citizens Charter - Provident Benefits Claim_May 2017.pdf

Or choose Provident Claims on the left under Citizen's Charter.

Finally found it! Thank you so much😊 One more thing, can I just submit either a copy of passport with the visa or a notarized sworn letter? Or should be both?

    Go to this link: https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/dlforms.aspx

In the middle of the page, choose Provident Related Forms.

Scroll down and you'll see Claims.

Choose the form Application for Provident Benefits (APB) Claim (HQP-PFF-285V03).

Message me if you need further help.

Still didn't see the application for provident benefits 😓

    Posting an update:

Went to Pag-Ibig yesterday with my Provident claim form, sworn declaration, and a photocopy of my visa. Lady at the counter asked me to photocopy my ID at their copy room, asked about my work history (I worked in one company for 8 years), and asked if I'm leaving the country for good. Minutes later, she gave me the claim form for the check which I can receive in 10 working days.

What's provident claim form? Is it in the pag ibig site? I checked it and can't find any form for claiming/withdrawing pag ibig contribution

Called their hotline last night and here's what I gathered.

    1. Go to pagibigfund.gov.ph

    2. Scroll down to Downloadable Forms. On the left, choose Provident Related. Under Claims, download Application for Provident Benefits (APB) Claim. Download, print and fill this out.

    3. Submit the form to any Pag-Ibig branch. Bring two valid government-issued IDs and a photocopy of your passport.

Idk how long til they issue the check. I'll be submitting my claim next week to find out.

Ok, according to their Provident Benefits Claim charter, it can take 8-20 days.

Apart from a photocopy of your passport, they also require a sworn Declaration of Intention to Depart from the Philippines permanently (notarized, no need to submit of already based abroad). This is also in their downloadable forms.

So can I still claim it even if I'm still in the Philippines? I'm still on the process of k1 visa though. What's the format of declaration of intention to depart from the Philippines? Thanks in advance.

Oh it's in their website din pala the form, so just have to fill it up, have it notarized. Right?

Hi sorry for late reply, anyway I got about 10k pesos for 3 years contribution which is not too bad. I gave it to my mom. There could be a fee but I it probably insignificant that I do not remember. The line wasn't too bad either it's in Pampanga coz that's where I lived. As long as you have all the companies you have worked with established or your pagibig number you should be ok.

Hi! what are the requirements did you submit/bring to close your PAG IBIG and how long til you get the check?

There is not a packet 2 or 3 for that matter.      You will need the MNL# (case file) from NVC to complete everything in the Philippines, here is info on contacting NVC.

Everything required by the embassy is listed on their website.

The complete K-1 process is listed here

Oh I see. Thanks. So there's nothing much to do after the noa2? I have read the packet 3 or so which are the requirements to bring during interview.

Hello kababayans 🇵🇭! We are one week since our petition was approved (noa2). Is it true that all the slots for december interview are taken? We're still waiting for our case number hopefully we get on the end of the month or early December.

Hello there kabayan! Congrats on your approved noa2. You're almost there! 😊 Anyway I just have a question sana, so after noa2 what are the requirements you prepared for the second packet? Thanks

I saw that!! Today marks the 70th day for us since NOA1. That is crazy fast!

Anyhoo, here is a link to all you need to know about the Manila embassy and Packet 3.

It's moving fast I know. 😊 Hope everything goes well for all of us. Thanks by the way for the link. I'm checking it now 👍

In general, yes that is the case. But as noted in the other thread (please keep this discussion in this thread moving forward, thanks!), that's actually not the case for Saudi Arabia for non-Saudi nationals who reside outside of KSA.

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/SaudiArabia.html

" Exceptions:  Police clearances are unavailable for third country nationals who no longer reside in the Kingdom.  They are also unavailable for third country nationals who are not legal residents. "

My now-wife interviewed in Manila last year after working in KSA for ~5 years. She had a police certificate just in case, but it was never requested or submitted. They only requested her NBI clearance (PI's equivalent).

Thank you for the concise explanation! I got worried cause if ever they need one I can't get it even if I want to cause it needs personal appearance. I do have NBI clearance from Philippines.  Thanks again. 😊

  13. Hi guys just want to ask if a police clearance is needed where I have worked for the last two years. but I'm already back in my country in the Philippines last June. We haven't filed yet for k1 visa but plan to in September. I'm just bothered if I should need a police clearance in Saudi where I have worked cause I didn't get one, thinking I'll not need it because I'll be residing in the Philippines for more than 6 months once the petition is approved. I've read in some site that

a police clearance is needed in the US embassy for interview. I only have my NBI clearance in the Philippines now.
