  1. I'm having a hard time coping today as well. I had a horrible dream last night and woke up just really wishing my fiance was here to hold me and make me feel better. But he's not. And I have NO IDEA when he will be coming. We're still waiting for NOA2.

But, I think with the support of this group, we can all make it through this together!!!

  2. This is a great thread!!! I'm not on AP (hope I won't be either) but I enjoyed reading it. Hang in there, you're almost to that 2nd interview and I'm praying all will go well for you. It's true that God works in His own time.

    The Refiner

"And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."Malachi 3:3 Some time ago, a few people met to study the Scriptures. While reading the third chapter of Malachi, they came upon a remarkable expression in the third verse: "And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver." Malachi 3:3

One lady proposed to visit a silversmith and report to them on what he said about the subject. She went accordingly, and without telling the object of her errand, begged the silversmith to tell her about the process of refining silver.

After he had fully described it to her, she asked, "But sir, do you sit while the work of refining is going on?"

"Oh, yes, madam," replied the silversmith. "I must sit with my eyes steadily fixed on the furnace, for if the time necessary for refining be exceeded in the slightest degree, the silver will be injured."

The lady at once saw the beauty and comfort too of the expression, "And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."

God permits us to experience hardships, difficulties, obstacles, and other furnace like tests. We are purified by these if we continue to pursue and endure in the truth despite these tests. His eye is steadily intent on the work of purifying, and His wisdom and love are both engaged in the best manner for us. He will not let us be tested beyond what we can endure.

Before she left, the lady asked one final question, "When do you know the process is complete?"

"Why, that is quite simple," replied the silversmith. "When I can see my own image in the silver, the refining process is finished."

Yes, trials can refine us, build our faith, and we can better reflect God's qualities when persevering under test.

  3. Hawaii is AWESOME. Go to Maui - that's my favorite island. Unless you love big cities and nightlife, then Honolulu is for you. But I think Honolulu and Waikiki beach are WAY too crowded.

You can also go to the U.S. Virgin islands or the Florida Keys. I've been to the Florida Keys AND the Virgin islands. I'd take Hawaii or the Virgin Islands over the keys any day.

We're going to a B&B in a small town in the mountains east of where I live.

  4. That, and size D boobs hurt, don't fit in a lot of tops properly, require more expensive bra's, have to buy separate bikini bottoms and tops... She's a smart woman :)

Yup, you absolutely CANNOT run without them hurting. And they can really get in the way sometimes. And sometimes button-down shirts don't close all the way . . .

  5. Come in share your stories.

A place / a home / an arena for those wronged / hurt / scammed to communicate stories, scream, cry and heal themselves past the pain of lost love.

Why did you have to get me started, lol? I know many tales of deceit and heartbrake.I only have time to tell you two.

Once upon a time in a small state called RI,there was a gentleman who was a sucessful business owner in the town of Central Falls.People would go to his business to send money back home, use the phone booths to call their countries, buy phone cards, cell phones, you name it,he had it.This man was also happily married to his high school sweetheart who he hed met in his country.Unfortunately, his wife developed a uncurable strain of breast cancer and she succumbed to it in less than a year.Three months later, this man went to his country, supposedly to get over the greif of losing the love of his life.To everyone's surprise,he brought back a supemodel like woman half his age and said it was his wife.He sold his small business in Central Falls, and him and his arm-candy moved to South Carolina. In three months, this girl got her things, and left this man high and dry.

I know this lady in my neighborhood who has the reputatation of marrying guys so they can stay in the USA.Her last(and 3rd) husband got deported for statutory rape of her own 16 year old daughter. Now she's on her 4th husband who just happened to be here illegally also.So one day when I saw her at the market,I just asked her why she liked men who didn't have green cards so much. She was quite honest with me and said that she needed someone to pay her bills and mortgage.

    Wow

  6. I'm not sure about the U.S. Islands. But I'm pretty sure you CAN'T go to other islands. That would be like leaving the country and they wouldn't let your new husband back in because the K1 would no longer be valid and his status wouldn't be adjusted yet.
