Yes we had an interview in January. But the case is still under administrative processing 😞 such a long journey

The petition had been approved before I called the USCIS. So I don't know how to verify.

You might not receive a notice of upgrade. In my case, the USCIS directly approved my petition 7 weeks after I sent the request, without a notice of upgrade.

I can add my timeline:

PD: JAN 12, 2018

SERVICE CENTER: CALIFORNIA

NATURALIZATION: JUL 12, 2018

UPGRADE REQUEST SENT: JUL 13, 2018

APPROVAL: AUG 28, 2018

RECEIVED BY NVC: OCT 24, 2018

CASE #: NOV 27, 2018

Hi Nabil, I would like to give you an update on my case. Before I was about to contact my congressman, I decided to give a call to USCIS to confirm whether they had sent my petition to NVC. Luckily, a nice lady answered my call and escalated my inquiry to a tier-2 office. The tier-2 officer found my case was still sitting at USCIS 2 months post approval. She said it was strange but she would take a look. Today I called NVC and was told that my case just arrived at NVC today!

The lesson I learned is that some officers at USCIS made up things sometimes. One officer told me earlier that my case was sent to NVC on 9/6. That's why I had kept calling NVC to check if they had received my case. 

You might also want to call USCIS and request to speak with a tier-2 officer. Tier-1 officers may not have access to our cases. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing the info. I completely understand the frustration you may have experienced during the whole process. Too much waiting, uncertainty, and helplessness. Sometimes I wish these people could understand our feeling just a little bit and be more responsible when handling our cases. 

My I-130 petition was approved on 8/28. USCIS told me that they sent my petition to NVC on 9/4. However, NVC always told me there was no info of my case in their systems. I may also contact my congressman's office soon. Let's keep each other posted.

Hi Nabil, sorry for the awful experience. I also start to worry about my case. My petition was approved in August but haven't been received by NVC yet. After 6 weeks of waiting, I sent an inquiry email to nvcresearch but haven't heard anything yet. How long had you waited before you got response from nvcresearch?
