U will hear by next week. For me it usually takes two weeks for them to answer.

Did u also submit employment documents? They asked me to submit mine. I only submitted employment.

what was ur total income? Do y think u were under poverty line? Cuz i dont think i am. Im over it.

My tax returns show 0 income for the past 3 years(live overseas with my spouse I am petioning), but I do have US based assets that are over the requirement. I included evidence of this on the Ceac site. To ensure there’s no doubt that my husband will not be a burden on the US we also included his assets with evidence. Adding a joint sponsor was recommended, not required. Will be so annoyed if uploading a joint sponsor made us lose our March 22nd case complete. Will call Nvc soon. Good luck to you on this stressful journey!

As @KJ2 said, DO NOT Add more to CEAC.  It will delay your process.

just bring one more sponsor with I-864 and all earlier mentioned docs.

Submit your current employment letter as requested. You'll be fine.

Can you please clarify? We received a case complete email on March 22nd and also a email with a note to add a joint sponsor or otherwise it’s up to consular Officer’s Discretion (since we are using assets basically). We uploaded a joint sponsor on April 1st, still just showing submitted. Does this mean our case complete is not valid?

  3. Finally showing paid after a week. Now for a transcript question.... I ordered 2017,16,15 transcripts over summer, but they are account transcripts I realized last week. Realized and ordered return transcripts via mail, since I can’t do online transcript request. Is this correct? It’s the return, not account transcripts? Wanted to verify I’m not wasting time waiting for return transcripts.

  4. I had a similar issue 5 years ago at an LA county courthouse. The time to receive the certificate was a firm in 6 weeks from the clerk, until I went on about all the things I needed to do (resign from work, have the certificate attested, etc) in order to join my husband overseas (and not for US immigration benefits).. She called the day after the ceremony and told me I could go pick up the certificate. So from 6 weeks it became 1 day. Did you clarify you are in the US with the K1?
