Tip of the day....Do NOT file a K3, go for the CR1. K3 is a BS visa. Hindsight being 20/20, waiting an extra month or so and paying the extra $ for the CR1 is so worth it. Waiting on an EAD is BS!!!!! A wise woman once told me that importing a husband is like adopting a retarded (sorry for the word) toddler. OMG it's soooooooo true!

There is an outlet device called EZALO in Egypt that is great at repelling mosquitos...........I used to use it all the time.........you can find it at any supermarket and some pharmacies carry it too. Also, OFF spray is sold in the pharmacies and you can spray that on you to repel the mosquitos.

I HATE mosquitos.

I have heard of the outlet devices that kill pests, but haven't seen any here in Egypt. It is worth me looking into, though.

I also took a Naproxen for my itching and pain. But, guess what! There's no mineral water in the house, so I had to take the Naproxen with tap water. Another illness to look forward to the day after tomorrow!

I witnessed my boyfriend get hit by a car while making a left turn on his motorcycle, and he died later at the hospital! This brings back some awful memories!

If you have any back or neck pain, no matter how minor, you might want to get x-rays done just in case. You might not feel any pain now, but sometimes orthopedic complications arise out of accidents weeks or even months later.

Cairo sucks that's what I'm going to say here. You're right it doesn't make sense that they do this. Really I feel for you and for my Moroccan compadres too. We were supposed to have a meeting last week at work with the head consular at Cairo and let me tell you I told my boss he had better let me speak up and voice my opinion about how awful the consule is or I should just go home for the afternoon because I would be in my chair seething. Unfortunately the guy canceled at the last minute so I never got my 15 minutes lol!

I don't mean to be nosy.....but.....where do you work? Are you involved with the embassy at Cairo and do you have regular contact with head consular officers? Who is the head CO at cairo....do you know his or her name? Sorry for so many questions.....just one more.... ....in your opinion.....do you think that speaking up about the inefficiency at the embassy will bring about change?....just wondering cuz I really want to complain but am unsure of who exactly to direct my complaints to.

I just wonder if anyone else has gotten this same response with phone calls. If so, then they have changed their policies.

I got the same response when I called 2 weeks ago........not only do they not answer any emails but now they don't take phone calls either......terrific.......what the heck are we supposed to do to get their attention.......perhaps fly a good year blimp over the embassy with a banner attached asking "Where's our visa?"

I didn't think the I130 papers would reach the NVC before the K3 visa would be issued.........but with AP taking soooooooo long I figured that we'd follow up with sending in the documents.

Yes, I did send in the police certificate and that seemed to be OK.

Must the marriage, birth, and military certificates that are sent in to the NVC along with the DS230 be notorized?? I sent certified translations and apparently that's not good enough.

I sent originals of each along with the DS230 and was told that a letter was sent to me to request that I send in "originals" of the certificates.

I will resend them......and get them notorized if need be......however, do I have to wait until I receive their letter to send these documents......or can I just go ahead and mail them to the New Hampshire address?

Truthfully VJ girls, I feel like my life is on hold and I know that u all probably do too in your own ways. I had no idea what to be expecting before we was going into any of this. I love and miss Adam so much and I just hope and pray that the government does their job right and quickly and our men get their visas soon. There is so much I want to do but I wont do it until Adam is here with me and I feel kinda sad tonight thinking about it.

and to my understanding right now... if our security clearances are still on hold like DOS said today... then its not Cairo I am waiting for... they (dos) keeps telling me the "agencies" havent finished them...

Hi guys. well today's the last day for my visa to expired, and i already Sent my I-485 and I-765 To Renewal It i mean I-765 .. and i have a I-94 Like a paice of paper stuck in passport and also going to expired with the same Date !!! what should to do now !!! do i need to file anything else or enough what i filed !!! i mean I-485 and I-765 and by the way my I-130 still pending since then !!
