WHEN you go to your GC interview, IF you have been married for less than 2 years, you get a 2 year conditional GC
Which then, 90 days before it expires, you file for the 10 year GC.

The type of GC you get originally depends on your marriage date

i.e. less than 2 years of marriage at interview = 2 Year GC

more than 2 years or marriage at interview = 10 year GC

So if your office is running 23 months right now and u go for your interview, if at the time of interview you have been married for 2 years, you get a 10 year GC automatically.

    Hope that helps!

I just received my approval letter and it says " welcome to the United states of America.......your card will expire in ten years"

So happy you’re done with the waiting time...

im still waiting for my ead at least so I’ll be able to work .

Luckily, I was able to get my work permit and dmv gave me a year so that’s good.

    Summer,

I received my appointment letter on August 13.

Thank you super duper much for letting me know! 😃😃😃😃😃😃 Just curious, did they asked medical exam report or copy of tax return/w2 again? I already provide it before. Btw, what did you wear?

Have copy and original of every docs in case that you submitted . And if you already submitted the medical report exam it's ok you don't need it for the appointment it's only if you didn't. Join bank account statement , insurance etc......jeans /blouse and heels

Thx for the quick response. Sounds good! Will that letter come from my local USCIS office? How long does it "usually" (nothing in this process is usual haha) take to get the biometric letter in the mail?

No the letters will not come from the uscis local office ( you case will be send to your local office when your fingerprints review is completed, all your doc reviewed ,no RfE good to be schedule for an interview ). My bio letter took 4-5days after I received my 3 NoA1. So it depends 1 To 3 weeks maybe more each case is different.

Good Morning everyone! We send in all 3 documents end of July but got it back due to an issue with my credit card ^^ So we sent everything back to USCIS and last night I received 3 messages that all 3 were approved *wohooooo* What is the next step from here? Will I get a notification about when I can get my fingerprints etc. taken? Sooooo sorry if this question has been asked before !!!

Hi , now  you will receive your 3 NOA1 letters and  wait for your biometric (fingerprints) appointment letter in the mail😁😆

    1) U can check in with USPS to see if indeed the letter was delivered and the notifications didn't update?

    2) It depends. Typically they have about 60 days to respond to RFEs. So once they have it, and they don't need anything else, you can expect your status to change to "RFE received" or "Case ready to schedule for interview" - this is all assuming that USCIS updates. I've seen many people get an interview notice and status never changed so it's really hard to know what's up since they're not consistent

So true we just received our interview appointment letters and our case status for my daughter and I didn't change. Mine is at " fingerprint review completed" and hers " interview ready to be scheduled"

By the way my received date is : July 6

    Biometric: August 1st

    we didn't have RFE

    God bless you all

I’m going to have my biometrics appointment on Monday, August 13. But, since I arrived here in CA I started to have a dyshidrotic eczema on my palms due to lack of humidity because I grew in Philippines where there’s a lot of humidity.

my palms are healing now but the skin is still flaking off.

question is, is it going to be a problem on my biometrics appointments?

To to those people ho have done biometrics appointments, does USCIS scanning the whole palms or just the 10 fingers?

    thanks a lot!

    Hi

    Just the 10 fingers
