Hi everyone.
Just would like to share my status and ask if someone had similar experience.
I sent my I-751 on September 14 2020 and on September 26 2020 I received my I-797 (they literally sent it to me one day after they received my I-751). I was surprised how fast my notice with the 18 months extension was processed.
My process went to Nebraska.
Has anyone had similar timeline?
September 14, 2020 -> I-751 sent to USCIS
September 26, 2020 -> Notice I-797 with 18 month extension received
I saw that processing times to remove conditions based on marriage can take up to 27 months, which is quite frustrating, but would like to check if someone has more accurate information about this timeline. Thanks
My text receipt number is also Nebraska. I am two days behind you in the process. I posted mine Sept 16th. Hope that the Nebraska center doesn't take up to 27 months!

I got my letter, Biometrics have been Waived, using the old prints..... Glad we don't have to miss work.
Letter was dated on the 15th so it was 11 days after the date of the NOA date which was 9/4/2020 for all you EAC Receipt holders. Be interesting to see what the other service centers will do.
Thats great news Bob. Interested to know if you will get back the biometrics fee seeing as its been waived or will they keep it?

@ttjewell did putting dublin as the "Place of your last arrival in the United States" work out? Please let me know asap i will forever be grateful! Thanks!!
Yes it was fine. They know that the US immigration is in Dublin and it was fine to put on the form. I had my application looked over by an immigrant lawyer once it was completed and he said it was all good.

Thank you. I just checked the detroit office and apparently they don't accept any infopass appointment for now. Oooooops
Oh bummer. Perhaps try and call USCIS again and get a number for the Detroit office

It has been more than a month since the online status changed to "interview scheduled". We still haven't got the interview date notice in mail. Called USCIS several times and all they could tell us is "the field office ordered the notice but no record of mailing them out yet." Is there anyone having similar situation ....? At this point, we are even thinking to request a info pass at detroit office but wondering if it is gonna help
I would definitely try and schedule an appointment they normally give about 40 days notice for your interview.
good luck

I faced the same dilemma. I bought new immigrant insurance from an online company insu buy if you google new immigrant insurance you should find some links

Can anyone shed some light on the biometrics at Detroit
1. What to expect
2. What documents to take
3. How long does it take
Thanks in advance
Thanks your appointment letter and ID (I took my passport). It took 10 minutes in total. Nothing to worry about they just take your finger prints and photo.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year,
I got my Conditional Green Card In September 2018 and in less than a month I'm going back to Italy to visit my family. I know I can travel outside the US with the Green Card for a period of time, but I 'm a little bit nervous about it... I guess because this is the first time for me. Has anyone ever had a bad experience at the POE? and also I wanted to know If I need to bring other documents with my Passport and my Green Card.
Thank you so much!
If your passport is in your maiden name and your green card is in your married name take your marriage license as proof of name change.

How long does it take on average to get a tracking number? I’m trying to get one so I can pick mine up as quick as possible so I can’t possibly travel home for a week!
Is it for your green card or EAD? My green card was sent priority mail on December 10th and I received it the next day.
-
Regarding your mailing question - I signed up for informed delivery with USPS. I had my interview on the 4th December and my card arrived December 11th. Once my card was mailed I could track it. It came in a priority mail envelope and arrived two days earlier than expected.
-
I got my Green card in the mail today. I am just wondering when I can expect my SSN to arrive or will I have to go apply for one myself. I ticked the box on the EAD application to get one sent to me but never got my EAD

whoopwhoop...congratulations.
Why so long though?
By the way got my GC delivered in the mail today so that's 6 business days later
The officer seemed to be training another officer therefore she did everything by the book and was very thorough. Happy we got approved though.

Congratulations on your approval too!
Thank you both for the explanation, I never would have thought about it
I am so excited. I'm asking our flatmate to open the letter just in case the interview date is before we get back to the US.
Thank you 😊
They normally give approximately 35 days notice for your interview so you should be ok 👍

How strange is that! Why would they put your fathers name in, haha this process just gets even more baffling! 🤣
Apparently it’s in case someone with the same name as you shows up for the interview the same day... they can verify the correct person by using the fathers name. It’s strange I know! Well fingers crossed it’s your interview date.
