Yay! I have good news! My husband and I got the interview appointment notice in the mail today! (= Our interview is July 22, 2008 in Atlanta, GA USCIS office! I'm excited that it is so soon!! Thats exactly four months from the time we sent the AOS....

So do they still approve you on the spot at the interview if they are convinced that you're a true couple?? My husband is 19 and I am 18 about to turn 19 and we are full time college and live with my parents.... so we don't have car insurance, car, leases, or anything like that in both our names... all we have is a bank account, we did our taxes together, i changed my last name to his on all my stuff now like DL, SS, and College Stuff. We had a court wedding as of now (we're saving up for our big wedding on the beach (=) but we do have tons of pictures from high school together, proms, vacations, friends weddings, family, etc...

I am now officially nervous about the interview!!!! Does what I have listed above sound "clear and convincing?" Any advice on what to get together in order to show that we are true and be approved would be great Thanks!

I send 20 resumes everyday... and receive refusals because I am overqualified... 1 week ago droped my resume at one recruiting agency.. and they called me today saying that they found a job for me, but i need to go for interview... so I need to send all my positive energy + it is $37000 per year what is great for beginning... what about you?

Don't worry guys.. you will receive it very soon... I was waiting for my SSN 4 weeks (before EAD having a K-1 visa)... but after EAD I received it in 3 days (asked them to change my last name in card)... I guess it took long time in the beginning because it was first time... Good luck

My waiting for the Social Security card is over now. Just checked the mailbox and it's there! It took 2 weeks and 1 day for it to arrive in the mail. I also got my state ID yesterday which I applied for on the same day I applied for my SSN. So, it's done and I just need to find a job. How's your job hunting going Elmira?

It didn't delay mine

Just got my EAD and my AP on the mail.

I was really happy.....but got really sad when I saw that the initial of my middle name on my EAD card was wrong

I just called them and now I'll have to file another I-765, and send it along with the card and a copy of any document showing my correct name....which is gonna be my SSN. Aiai.....it was all going so smooth....I needed the EAD to get an state ID or DL so bad right now....like opening a bussiness account and other things....uff...at least there's no fee.

But, I am happy...I'll just have to wait a little bit more

It's approved and that's what matters!

hey guys! just dropped Hubby off for his first job interview over here....I think I am more nervous than him

We got his EAD in the post last week, he submitted his resume online to 3 jobs late Thursday night, and by Saturday afternoon he had 2 job interviews lined up for this week and a request for more information from the third one! it was totally crazy and started happening so fast. It's a good thing, just kinda nuts!

anyway, just needed a place to say ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! I hope it goes well for him. He left a great job in London that he really liked to move here and I just want him to find something that makes him happy - you know???

Don't worry about that .... everything is gonna be OK... as for me, for example, I sent 50 resumes, and nothing..... I can't understand it.... but I still believe that I will find the job of my dream very soon, as I loved my job in Kazakhstan too and I miss it a lot

YEA!! I finally have something that can be added to the update list! We went out of town for 2 days (Fri & Sat) and in Friday's mail we got the EAD card and AP!! We just got the email, so we thought it'd be a while for the AP and EAD card to get here. I'm so excited!!

Same here.... My I-485 was touched and it made me happy, but later I found out that my AP was touched as well.... I have know idea what is going on there as I have EAD and AP in my hands .. so let's see what it will bring

Thanks so much!!! I think you can make 6 mistakes if this is your first time taking the test, at least this is how it is in California. I found all the sample tests i found online very useful!!! Good luck to you as well!!!

YEA!! Congratulations!! My husband got 100% on the written and 98% for the on-road test. When do you take the driving test?

That is really good score! I hope i do as well as that when I get my driving test sorted out. I am hoping to take it sometime next week

Congratulations guys!!! same here in Florida only 6 mistakes... I did 6 mistakes in my writing test back in December when I got my learner's permit ... but on driving got 100%... and now I am driving 2 months already.. thanks God Florida is more liberal with Fiance visa... Guys it is so great to drive... don't worry as I am sure all of you pass.... first i was scared to drive on high way... but now I am OK... still need more practice with parking yesterday went to change my last name is SSN.. didn't have any problems with that... they promised to send new SSN card by next Thirsday... today went to recruiting agency for interview and they told me that with my skills they will find a job for me very quick what is great, as we need more cash, so we can buy a car for me (Toyota hybrid- my dream) and save some money for vacations.... still no touches with I-485... but it is Ok as I have EAD mow, and anyway I am sure I will get green card very soon Good luck everyone with all their plans
