I would probably try to consult with an immigration attorney with years of experience to see all all the options on the table. Then, like the officer suggested,  I would get ready to fly there and prepare a CR1

Layoffs don’t necessarily mean more delays. I would imagine that there are several measures implemented to keep the ball rolling. Millions of Americans and future Americans would be affected 

My fiance and I have talked about this. She'll be educated when she arrives on the K1 but we doubt any employer will recognize it, once we get the employment authorization.

I've used sites like that before, pay a quick fee and get some solid consultation from an experienced lawyer. It also lets you get a refund in case you're not satisfied. Very convenient for some quick professional answer and pretty ingenious concept .

Back to the original topic, rules are rules. Me and my fiance are going to file the advanced parole and only use it for some type of family emergency, we don't plan to use it (Still waiting for the NOA2 right now).

The fact that the person in the link of the original post did this on the same day of a scheduled interview is incredibly insane

I’m not at this point in the visa stage yet (still waiting for the NOA2) but this thread is very informative.

My takeaway is that getting married as soon as possible once my fiancé lands is imperative in order to apply and file for the adjustment of status and EAD at the same time?
