Ceremony was at 9AM today. People started lining up when I got to the parking lot at around 8:40. We were let in around 9 am, total 45 or so. We were sat in a room. The citizenship packets were kept on the chairs. A brief speech were given congratulating the new citizens and then the oath of allegiance. After that the naturalization certificates were handed out asking us to check all the info (names, etc.) on it VERY carefully. We were all out in about 15 mins. Everything was done maintaining social distancing.
Good luck to everyone waiting for this final step.

And I am done! I had my ceremony today and it was very low key.
You join about 50 others and line up outside waiting to go in one by one. Masks on, no visitors, have your paperwork filled out and bring all your previous cards etc.
Once you're through security you go into a room and surrender your green card and your appointment letter. You're seated 6 feet from someone else and there are 5-6 rows of people (approx 50 people in attendance). Very short speech is given by the department head, there's a packet on your seat containing information, passport application, US flag and the pledge/oath written. You stand up and hold your hand up with the others and the Oath is read to which you say I do. After that you're called up to the desk and collect your certificate (check everything is written correctly) then you leave. I was in and out within 25 mins and actually lined up outside longer than anything else.
I can't believe the journey is over! What a buzz to be completely finished... now just the passport!
Good luck everyone, the finish line is nearly there!
Thank you so much for this and congrats! I have mine tomorrow at 9AM. Your details will be very helpful to prepare accordingly.

Oath scheduled, June 10.....good luck to everyone still waiting......
Mine is scheduled for June 11th, 9AM at the 810 Gears Rd. This is the same location where we appear for interviews, not the usual oat ceremony place. Just wondering if you or others are same as mine. Thanks

Congratulations to you both! I also received notification of oath being scheduled this morning, but do not know the date yet.
I just checked my online case status after reading your post. It shows "We scheduled your naturalization ceremony" which was done today. 😊 The letter should be available online in next couple of days.
congrats to others that reached this final step and good luck to the waiting crowd.

No it doesn’t. It is stuck at attended interview
In that case your application has not reached the final approval stage yet, it may have to do with your combo status. In any case it "should" clear eventually since you have passed the N400 interview but may take time. You should try to utilize any way to "knock at their door" for the approval.

I am at 70 days since interview/recommended for approval and my status still sits at “attended interview.”
Going to reach out to congressmen and senators office in a few weeks. The online status should also say "We approved your application" right after "You attended your interview", these two usually happens on the same day after the N400 interview. And usually a week after that they mail the oath ceremony letter. Do you see "We approved your application" status on your online status?? If yes then the delay is unwarranted and you need to reach out as you are saying.

Yay!! Interview passed yesterday!
Here's my experience:
- Arrived 30 minutes ahead of appointment time. Long lines and lots of other people waiting (don't leave it too close to your appointment time to go in). First they check you in, then I had to go get photos and fingerprints taken. After that they call your number out and you go for the interview. I waited 15 minutes for my biometrics to be taken, sat down and within 2 minutes was called for interview. The announcing system is not terribly clear especially if someone with an accent is calling out numbers so be sure to listen closely once you get your number from the check-in desk (they write it on your appointment letter).
- The interviewer was cordial but zero small talk. Once she placed me under oath, she dived straight into confirming who I was, I presented my IDs (Drivers License, GC, Passport), confirmed address etc. Asked a few basic questions such as if I had been married before, if I had any children, etc. After that, she started the test and began asking the test questions. She asked 6 questions which I got right.
- After the test was over she asked some tickbox questions (basically all of those that you said No to on your N-400 that implicates you as an undesirable potential new citizen). After that she said I passed the test and inteview and I would be recommended for approval.
- 15 minutes later I received text messages of action taken on my case. Logged in to USCIS but didn't see any updates yet. Waited till this morning to see that it is approved and now waiting on oath ceremony scheduling.
Let me know if anyone has any questions about the process or what to expect when you go to the USCIS center.
My experience was exactly same as yours. Only thing different was the wait: I had to wait almost 45 mins for my number to be called. After that it was super smooth and I was out in like 15 mins (probably less). Now status shows " Your final step to becoming a citizen is to attend your naturalization ceremony. We will mail you a letter when we schedule your naturalization ceremony."
so Hopefully we will be at the next month's ceremony? Good luck to all

Sounds good. I will be going alone in that case. Thank you

If it's not joint N400 and roc then no need to go with spouse. I attended my interview yesterday alone.
Thank you. Mine is not joint, It is just for N400. Were you asked about your spouse anytime during the interview??

Question to anyone who attended/planning to attend interview for naturalization (family based) : Are you going to the interview alone or bringing your spouse with you? Which is recommended ? please advice. Thanks so much

Received a text a few minutes ago to say that my case had been updated. I used the mobile app to check and it says interview has been scheduled. I checked online through the USCIS portal (the new one) and no update is showing there yet. I was hoping to find out the date of the interview before the physical letter arrives. I filed second week of May 2019.
I suppose I better get preparing myself!
Just responding to similar good news. I also got an case tracker app update last night that my interview has been scheduled. I checked my account just now online and it shows the same. There is no letter yet but it will show up in the next couple of days if not sooner. My N-400 receipt date is 05/05. Good luck to everyone!!

Well, I’m a 5 year based app but submitted online. What did your eta say over these months and did it spike or change?
Mine is 3 yr based, I applied May 2019. It was showing completion Oct 2020 initially I believe, now it's showing Aug 2020. The timeline is nothing special. Houston is still mostly clocking ~10 months wait for N400 interview since the PD.

Just got the letter today. Interview scheduled for Oct 9th. I think the process is faster now..
I hope so. But unfortunately it doesn't appear to be so, I think you are just an anomaly whose N400 got processed earlier than expected. 😊

It was not online. it was paper based application. I am not a military guy. It was just normal 5 year based application. I will keep posted for interview date.
Interesting. You are one very lucky person. Please keep us posted when you receive the letter in mail about the interview. Thanks

This is consistent with Trackit. Two users with NOA dates in February reported getting notices on Aug 30th.
We are now close to 200 Days to get an interview letter.
I do not know what Trackit is showing, but at least following this thread I can say that interview after ~200 days of NOA is an anomaly which is usually around 9 months or so. For Houston area N-400 completion are still around 12-14 months from NOA received.

Received text for status update - Interview was scheduled. Waiting on actual letter.
Filing date: Feb 11, 2019
Bio. Date: Mar 7, 2019
Assuming that interview date will be in month or so.
Getting interview for 02/2019 filing is the fastest considering recent updates, I believe. Can you provide more details about your filing? was it online? What is your immigration type? Are you military or anything similar?

I sent Houston Local office a letter on 07/24 requesting to reschedule my Oath ceremony. Does anyone know how many days it takes to hear back from them?? I want to check if they received it or not. There is no way to schedule an infopass since Houston field office is not scheduling any now. What is the best way to inquire now? Please share your suggestions. TIA

My mom received her date for the Oath ceremony on 08/21. But we will be out of town starting that day until the 28th. All travel arrangements are already made long ago. I am thinking about requesting to reschedule it.. Does anyone know how long it would delay the process? Does it take months or are we looking at just weeks? Please advise. TIA

Hi SCCH,
The incorrect date only delays my filing by 13 days which doesn't bother me. I don't want to go to my naturalization interview and get rejected based on that date. Hence I was wondering if it makes any difference if this date is correct or not.
Thank you for replying to my post
There is 0 chance you will be rejected at the nat. interview for anything related to that incorrect date. If during the online nat. application you are putting in the incorrect date as the actual date and going on from there then all that matters is that you are being delayed for a few days for your nat. application. Remember you always have your old GC in case you want to put your correct "resident since" date and go from there on the nat. application. None of this should be an issue imho. You can schedule an infopass appointment to discuss this too. I am pretty sure they will tell you any correction regarding this is your "discretion", i.e. this is not critical. Remember if in doubt they will send an RFE 1st before rejecting anything.

Does anyone have experience with how long it takes to get a correction green card from USCIS? I received my GC yesterday but the resident since date is wrong. I have to travel soon and dont know how long it takes them to send a corrected one
To request "any" correction on the current GC you have to file a I-90. It's a slow process and you can check the timeline on USCIS site like all other forms. Here is my ques: If the incorrect date is not causing you any issue (like, filing for naturalization) then why do you even need to correct that before your travel? Immigration officers care less when you became resident. All it matters that it's valid and current. The "resident since" date is not a critical field for any of that.

USCIS advised you to mention the I751 issue at your N400 biometrics appointment??? Whaaa?? I bet you spoke to a Tier 1 agent and not a Supervisor because that is preposterous.
When filing for naturalization, you have to include your green card....when the conditions have been removed and the new 10yr card is given, you should scan and include the new permanent resident card. If the new 10-yr permanent resident card shows incorrect name placement, it might raise questions as to why you left it the way it was.....always better to be safe than sorry.
How do you get to tier 2?

You can file online to Replace the resident card. You'd have to send it back for the correction and you shouldn't have to pay anything since it's their mistake. It is recommended to scan/copy the greencard as proof that they issued you one and send a scan showing your old one with the correct positioning of the names.
This is what happens when USCIS does a rush job and it sucks! 😕
Thanks a lot. I have my N400 bio appointment tomorrow. Just spoke with USCIS on the phone and they advised to discuss the issue tomorrow during the bio. If they say I have to correct it then file i-90. Since I already filed N400 and naturalization may be processed before I get my new "corrected" green card they may say it's not required. In that case I don't have to worry about it. Hope it goes the latter.

Yes there was a line outside when we were leaving. I am sure they are doing these every hour. How many in a day it's hard to say. But at least they are doing these to clear some backlog. Considering the upcoming election this is very, very important. The ONLY reason I was hoping for my oath to be completed ASAP was so that I can vote this November.
