Sounds like the interview went well, and the status message was in error. USCIS does that from time to time. It could change tomorrow.
Best luck.

As was mentioned, give it a little time and the status should hopefully update to something more accurate. Not much else you can do in the meantime other than be patient and optimistic.Casa approved folks.

Yes, ours was for the one when they intended to issue visa
The packet and documents have been seen and reviewed
I didn't quite get that. Can you please elaborate?
Also, my interview was under waiver terms. -

In your experience, can interviews be this casual for regular and waiver cases?

Hi, Visa journey Members.
Had my interview today. Waited about 2 hours before I was called in. Once in the room, It only lasted about 10 min.
The officer just asked me basic questions, changed the application to a waiver, and took copies of my documentation (I.e. ID, Green Card, Passport, Extension Letter and Divorce decree).
At the end, the officer just informed that the interview was over (in her own words, ''short and sweet''), and the decision will be mailed. When I left, the status changed to ''Interview Cancelled and Notice Ordered'' (What does this even mean?).
Any thoughts?

This website is for US immigration and visas not Canada. There are websites and forums that deal with Canadian Immigration and visas.
My bad. I wasn’t aware that it was limited to US immigration only. Can you recommend me one ?

So it seems the two biggest issues are his travel history and his/his sponsor's income.
Maybe he should travel more before applying again. How long was his intended trip?
It was going to be a one week trip. And order to travel, he needs a visa.

invitation letters are worthless and are not considered. Do you know the reason it was denied?
Since you don’t get to meet with a consulate official, they send you back a standard letter that has a breakdown of the possible reasons.

I have a friend who’s mother became a Canadian Permanent Resident through marriage. He submitted a request for a Canadian Tourist Visa to go see her. However, it was denied.
When he submitted the Tourist Visa application, he had a certified invitation letter plus proof of a job and funds to pay the trip.
He’s 23 years old at the time, still has a stable job and funds to afford the process and travel.
He would like to apply once more, what are your recommendations?
Btw, he’s applying from the Dominican Republic, which means that there isn’t a Consulate. The application package goes to a Mexico Centre.

How long does it take for USCIS to process the name change submission?
PS: USCIS received the name change correspondence 30 days ago and the I130 had already five months of being filled when the name change was submit.

Any update from Potomac
Hi @nickymicky
Unfortunately, we haven’t received any updates yet and to top it all, according to the USCIS website, Potomac has increased 30 more days to the I130 Processing Time.
Three weeks ago, we submitted the name change and we’re hoping to get a sooner response while they pull up our case, but base on topics “name change related correspondence”, it doesn’t speed up or delays the processing time.
The visajourney average processing time for February fillers, is set in between “September/October.

Again - if you check the processing times, you will see users from September and October 2018 who are just now getting approvals.
I am a December 2017 filer and have not heard anything.
Thank you for the update. It seems that i havent seen before that option on the website.
According to the list, it seems that you’re getting a response quite soon.
Good luck.
