Hello I have a question about my AOS package, I came over on a K1 visa and got married in December and sent our documents in March. 

I'm confused because I had sent my package with all the forms to adjust my status, application for travel and application for employment authorization and noted that on my cover letter I'm applying all together and had separated all the documents in their own folders and labelled them. I received a notification from my bank that the $1225 has been taken out of the account yesterday. I then received a letter today from the USCIS stating that my I-765 Application for Employment Authorization has been rejected because the payment amount is incorrect? I'm not sure if anyone can help or knows of anyone who has had the same issue? Was the $1225 not the correct amount? I've been reading all the posts to triple check everything before I sent it off but this letter has confused me now. 

Timeline: 

Sent AOS package: 16th March

Received: 19th March

Notification the fee of $1225 was taken from account yesterday 9th April 

I had my interview last Tuesday at Sydney embassy it was more stressful for me as I had to attend with with our (U.S petitioner) 3 year old son. Our interview was scheduled at 8.30 am I went up at 8.15am and was lucky no one was there so I was able to walk straight through to the ladies that checked our documents (strongly recommend stick to the checklist) i had all the documents in order as per the list so the ladies gave back what was not needed and then they direct you through to security. With my documents i didn't take any extra proof to substantiate our relationship but it's up to you. When you go upstairs take a ticket and wait for you number to be called. The first time you get called up is to give your documents and then you may get called again and they'll give you back any other documents they don't think will be needed for the interview. You will then be advised the next time you'll be called up is for your interview. The guy that interviewed me looked real serious at first but was really casual when he asked the first question he was typing and forgot for a moment to ask another question and at the end was telling me how long it takes to wait for your visa i was confused and he noticed that and realised he forgot to tell me that I've been approved lol It was a good experience everyone is nice. All up i spent 1hour 15 mins but the CO messed up and i had to go back to the embassy so he can take my fingerprints again but i couldn't be mad I was too happy i got approved. Just triple check your documents it doesn't hurt to have more that is required just in case you need it, know your information as they can ask any of these questions: when you first met, what date you met each other face to face, when you last saw each other, what you do for work, what your fiance does for work,  where does the petioner live. Those are some of the questions i heard others get asked and i only had 4 questions what is my relationship to the petitioner, how did you meet, when did you meet  and what do you do for work. Sorry for the long response but glad to help anyone else going through the same process as this site has helped me a lot. 

Hello hoping anyone would be able to assist as I'm not sure if I did this right.  I filled out the DS 160 form and at the part it asks if I am travelling with anyone and  which i have added my 3 year olds details but at the end it only asked me to upload my photo and not my sons. Am I supposed to have his photo uploaded and get a separate confirmation page for him?

Anyone still waiting for NVC to receive their case??

 Yep Im still waiting for NVC to receive our case and our NOA2 was approved on the 30th April 

Anyone with a NOA2 approval on the 30th April still waiting for their case number? Called NVC and they said they haven't received our case yet  

I might as well join this thread NOA2 approved on 27th April and still have not received an email from NVC and my fiancé called last week and the person he spoke to kept saying the WAC is our case number. I'll tell him to call again this week so hopefully we get our case number

My first time posting but I've been following this thread for quite some time. I'm finally relieved to get approved. I thought I would share my journey so far

Case received: 22 September 2017

RFE recieved: 31 March 2018

RFE sent: 18 April 18

NOA2 approved: 30 April 

I had been checking both the old and new website everday and i just checked now and the old website said it was still reviewing my case but then I checked the new website and it confirmed my case was approved on the 30th April. 

My RFE was to send intent to marry letter even though this was provided originally with a lot of proof but they had asked to send more proof within the previous 2 years. I just resent my flight reciepts, printed photos and dated them and with my letter of intent I elaborated more on how I met my fiance (we met online), noted the dates we visited each other and our plans when we do get married. 

Well best of luck to those who are still awaiting a response hopefully more approvals are received this week 😊
