I am with you that it is not right of course :)

but it is definitely normal especially recently ... they do this all the time now even more than before ..

of course we are talking about an American immigration lawyer not an Egyptian one ... any lawsuit is under the American law and in an American court and in behalf of the American spouse

i dont know what say we all know how it is hard to be waiting and life on hold with the distance i hope everything be sorted soon for you

  2. I have read your timeline and the review of the consulate is like any regular interview , what is not normal is the AP taking that long something not right at all , people get AP for different reason for like month to 3 months 6 months not for that long must been something wrong.

Having lawyer in Egypt is difficult and before you hire him he will assure you he will fix it and he may not even allowed to enter embassy and just a drain of money, there is a translation office the Nadoury and Nahas beside embassy he is also lawyer office . i would go and meet him and ask for option or brief him and hear from them maybe they give some info or maybe they guide you to someone trusted ,but before you hire anyone you need understand what steps he is gonna take and to know where you paying your money.

keeping following with the embassy through email and to the state email for immigrants is also an option while waiting.

Hi everybody, we just had to re-submit two documents  because they weren't accepted by NVC due to being hard to read. How long does it usually take to review re-submitted documents by NVC? If somebody had to go theough it, please share your experience, every input is very much appreciated.

i re submit on 22 August  same day i received notification and it was   reviewed on 5th September . Two weeks .

he is going to sign it and mail it to me to be on the safe side. I dont want to risk signing on his behalf.

With regards to the passport, I was told by another member that at the NVC stage we can update his passport. Anyone who went through the NVC stage of CR-1 know if there is an option to put new passport info?

Regard the Signature as Super uber said is fine to sign on behalf or all option he mentioned works .

for NVC  Yes you can send or upload the updated passport bio page its one of requirement for the NVC stage depending if you are going be a pivot or non pivot , Pivot means you can upload online all required documents to NVC non pivot means you have to snail mail all documents required.

Question do I have to keep checking website to see if my documents are accepted or would they send me an email ONLY if they need new documents resubmitted?

they will send you email that they updated your case and that you need go check your inbox if you receive email when you log in if there is anything need to be re submitted will be in inbox of CEAC and they will explain like having a cut or it was vertical etc..

if everything went ok with your document should say documentary qualified  and shows accepted on all documents that you submit thats a case complete

    Hi guys,

my finace is from Iraq but he lived in Egypt for 10 years. He finished college so unfortunately he had to go back to Iraq. Could he apply for these record by going to the 🇪🇬 consulate in Iraq? Will that be a problem?

I think he can from Egyptian embassy check website and you can call them for more information (+964) 809 448 722 or
    (+964) (7) 809 448 722 and website is http://www.mfa.gov.eg/baghdad_emb .

It is waived. I worked in Sharjah UAE for 5 yrs. When i was at my interview the officer in the pre screening asked me about my work and then she asked the person beside her "Girl, UAE is not included right cant get one unless physically present."YES. Okay..😀😀😀 so no worries you wont be asked for a police clearance from UAE..during your interview

Phew  im so relieved i was really worried about that as it really take time i been also there for 5 years came back home last Jan and really thankful for your info i can sleep and i have something less circling in my brain :D :D
