My son arrived on June 29th I just received his green card last week . They told me it’s now 120 days before you receive the card . About the social security number  contact your local office and follow their directions. I got my sons within two weeks on his arrival 

I went ahead and applied  a US passport for my son which I received the passport about two weeks ago . If I get any free money I will start N600 for him . Am not even thinking about the GC now

Am writing on behalf of my friend who’s residing outside the United States but he’s a citizen of this great country .. He met a lady about two years ago and good for them they had a baby but they are not married couples yet . 
 

The lady  has been to the American embassy twice to Obtain a visa but unfortunately he was denied in all the two occasions. One was a tourist visa and the other one was a fiancée visa with somebody my friends has no Idea about . 
 

my friend has an intention of bringing the lady and the baby to this country since he has been offered a job opportunity in America .

my question is , what kind of visa do you guys think my friend should apply for the lady and the baby to avoid another refusal. Thanks .

thanks very much . So with your explanation it means I don’t need the plastic green card before I can apply for the N600 ? 

My son who is a minor arrived in the country about four months ago with an immigrant visa also the same as the green card varies  for one year . I was able to get his SSN and just last week He received his American passport. He actually got his US passport through me  as a citizen. I paid his $220 for his green before he got to the country . I have called USCIS many times to get an information about when I will get his green card but no answer . 
 

my question is , does he really needs his green card since he has received his US passport already ?  Thanks  for reading guys .

The divorce didn’t happen in the America . I have the divorce documents but it doesn’t state whether  I have a custody of my son or not.. thanks guys for ur contributions on this topic 

Can the form you mentioned above can be filled outside the country or the step mother can do it on her behalf?

My question is can I apply a US passport for him with his immigrant visa since I don’t know when the actual green card will be in the mail ?

My son just received his immigrant visa and he has up to 6 months to enter the country but i would like him to complete this academic year which ends around july next year . That is  a good question. Can i use my citizenship certificate and the stamp in his passport to help obtain a US passport?

i am a US citizen but my son is not.  

his minor  so the mom answered all the question.

My son just received his IR2 visa outside the united states of America. Am planning to bring him here get him a passport and let him go back for a period of time to complete his basic education. My question is how long will he gets his US passport  after arriving in the country and also how can he obtain his SSN? He's just 6 years . Thanks very much for your time.
