  1. Hey guys, i finally got packet 4 in the mail today!!!! My interview date is December 18th. I was hoping that i would have gotten a date for some time in November, but that's not the case. I would like to leave on December 28th and that gives me no time to do anything. That week in going to be pure madness for me. Anyway i wont let that worry me right now.

Suddenly I'm so nervous, it's not like I've never gone for a visa before so i don't know why the hell I'm feeling this way  Now i have to make an appointment to do the medical, BTW i have no immunization record. May be ill just get the shots at a health centre and take that with me to the medical. I am yet to get The affidavit of support, I'm also waiting on the tax transcript m IRS. Funny how time fly

    .

Congrats on receiving interview date. At least you have a date you can plan towards. Hopefully, you’ll have your ducks in order in time for consulate appointment. Good luck!! Cheers!!!

  4. I'm happy to share my NVC good news. I received NVC letter dated 10/09/2007 today saying they recently received an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of my OH and the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa issuing post where visa interview will take place.

Now I just have to find out on Monday (10/15) from NVC as to what exact date the petition was shipped out to Consulate. So I can count 10 - 14 days b4 sending beneficiary to collect packet 4. Beneficiary will have a copy of approved NOA-2 and NVC letter on hand so embassy security will allow access into the building. Thank God this process is coming to an end shortly and finally we can be together again. To God Be the Glory. Good luck those still waiting for NVC to acknowledge their petitions. You all should start hearing something this coming week!! :dancing::dance::dance::dance:

Congrats, that's awesome! Good luck on a speedy interview! :)

    Thanks Musicgirl0912.

Dear NVC, Please kindly confirm if my I-129F Fiancee petition case has been received by NVC. Thanks.

    - Regards.

  10. Confirmed NVC has received our file today. However, it has not been entered into their computer in order to generate our new case # with NVC. I was advised to check back next week. :dancing:

I haven't even called NVC today yet!

Congratulation!!!! Like I said, what a difference one day can make!:dance:

I plan to call later tonight.

    V

Hoping you will hear some good news tonight. Good luck.

I called yesterday evening and was told our case was not yet in the system and to call back next week. I explained that I was initially told it takes 2 - 4 weeks and Monday will be 4 weeks (but is a Holiday in the US so I know they won't be working). I'm not sure how the Rep you spoke to knew 'your case was in the building, just not in their system' but this Rep was not helpful to me. USCIS tells me they sent it on 9/13 and NVC says they don't have it so I'm at a loss for who's telling the truth.

    I'll call again on Tuesday.

    Looking up!

    V.

I didn't do anything special. The rep requested my USCIS # and the rest was history. I'm curious too about the “we have your file physically in building but it hasn’t been processed yet”. Perhaps out of curiosity, maybe I will call them today again. Hopefully, the story will be clearer.

Called NVC today and the rep said my case was received yesterday. The case is being entered into the system right now and in 5 to 10 days it will be send to foreign consulate. Now we all know it doesn't take them that long to forward it to the embassy. I guess I will just have to keep a close tap on this one.

  11. It's now been 4 weeks since our NOA2 from the CSC and still not rec'd by the NVC.

I keep calling and getting the standard "may take up to 90 days" response.

Even when I am ultra-polite, why are they SO F'ING RUDE AND DISMISSIVE?! WHAT A BUNCH OF JERKS!!!

Just needed to vent after talking to the Wicked Witch of the East

    Bcrabb,

Mine took 35 days. Hopefully you won't have to wait that long.
