  1. "What concerns me is that we don't have anything else to provide. I don't know if I need to plan a trip to Nigeria in the next few weeks or what?? But then I also wonder.... would it even help? Will we even have the opportunity to show that I've come again."

    Hi Tess,

Sorry for the delay and that is what it really is. It is a delay provided both of you do your homework. This is an opportunity for you and Tony to satisfy the embassy requirements whatever that may be. Here is my 2 cent. If you can afford a trip to Nigeria to visit Tony, it will do a great deal. This will validate your on-going relationship for one and give your photo opportunity with your future in-laws. MAKE sure you meet with his immediate families. Document your visitation. I would encourage you to continue what both of you have been doing such as the documentation of your on-going relationship. Once you guys come out of AP, and he is invited for a second interview they will be expecting to see some information to aide their decision. This is what is going to win the CO over to your side thus getting the visa granted. Take care and be blessed now.

  2. Congratulations!!! But how did you find this message??? you just clicked on receipt number online from your UCSIC account??? Because we are going to send everything back (RFE) this week, but when they sent us RFE it still was saying - "Case received and pending"???

Elmira, yes I found out the current status by clicking on my I-485 receipt number within my portfolio on USCIS website. Although, USCIS did update the status with request for evidence issued. If we had not received the snail mail, we probably will have been seating in the dark going nuts as to why there was no movement on our case. Anyway, we're grateful that someone cared enough to do their job by updating the status after receiving the rfe reply. Also, we received an email around the same time stating the same that rfe was received and case processing has resumed. I hope this helps you in regards to what to expect when you eventually respond to their request for evidence.

  3. Just got back from my biometrics and it went well so far. When we got home I also received a mail from CRIS stating that my case has arrived CSC and is now pending for standard processing. So, it was a great day for us and so glad that we're done with the biometrics and we are one step closer to completion. Welcome to all new addition to the group of March filers! :star:

Congrats on getting your transfer notice from CSC. Yes you are on your way. Goodluck.

Elmira, hurry up and returned the documents to USCIS. Good luck to you.

  4. All, we received an rfe snail mail yesterday for I-864EZ and beneficiary's birth certificate. On I-864EZ form, in part one I checked the first box but forgot to check the other two boxes. ("The answer must be "YES" to all of the following statement to qualify to use form I-864EZ"). We’ve completed a new I-864EZ form, dotted all the I's crossed all the T's. We did include beneficiary's birth certificate in our original AOS packet; our guess is USCIS must have misplaced it. Oh well, we will to resend another one out. Per RFE letter, once missing items are received USCIS will process beneficiary's I-765.

I-864EZ and birth certificate is on its way to USCIS location in Lees Summit, MO. USPS promised to deliver package by Thursday.

Congratulations to the new March filers and other filers that are able to view their case on-line.
