Guys look what I saw, as probably many of you as wellHi all -
Yesterday we got a notice to 'Appear for Intial Interview to complete the AOS' on May 6th!!!!!
Not that I'm complaining but why so fast?!
Our AOS/I485 was received on March 7th and we did biometrics on March 26th.
At first we were worried because it said "initial interview" (is there more than one???) but the letter says that it's "for completion of the AOS."
Should we not be as overjoyed as we are? I can't believe that it only took 2 months to get the interview. Looks like we won't neet the AP or Work Authorization.
Any other March filers get an interview date yet?

Awesome!!! Our time is close
GREAT NEWS! Getting so very excited now! It looks like we have the same timeline with bcrabb! Honestly, I am really positive that we will hear some good news on the first 2 weeks of May. Gleaning from the February timeline and just recently bcrabb's progress that only mean one thing. We are next!
David-Rhosie, considering your case was already transferred to CSC there is a good chance your AOS will be approved without an interview. Unless it is later transferred back to your local uscis office then you might be invited for an interview. All the same, bcrabb's progress is a good sign for all the March filers.

Congrats on receiving AOS interview date.
BTW, was the notice electronic or snail mail? Thx you for sharing.

Tess,
LovinLiberia's SO was interviewed / investigated at home. Actually, if I remember correctly, the embassy dropped by the SO residence to do some investigation unannounced. She could probably tell you more about it and how the interview went. Eventually, the visa was granted. Good luck.

My prayer is that God will give you wisdom from above to get past this setback. Be blessed now and we wish you all best.

Have a blessed journey and no RFE!

I got an RFE in the mail yesterday )= It asks for an employer letter and 6 months paystubs for my household member sponsor. How long will this set us back???
It took 7 days from receiving RFE letter to USCIS updating our status to case processing resumed. Check our AOS timeline below.

After reading the guide, if you have a specific question then post your question and someone will come along to give an answer. Good luck.

Hey yall, I got an email today,
""Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.
On April 17, 2008, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you.""
So elmira, you should be getting something very soon!
Excellent...congrats!! Elmira you're next. Good luck.

We experienced the same. The error was created by DOS. However, SSA attendant was kind enough to process the application in spite of the spelling mistake. We were advised to notify USCIS of the mistake so it can be changed. So far we had two infopass appointments to correct data entry mistakes.
