Did your original NOA from submitting docs in January 2021 not already extend your green card validity? My husband’s NOA said “extended 18 months from expiration on permanent resident card” which, for him, would now put his expiration in July 2022.

The first NOA in January extended it for 18 months. The one dated in October is now for 24months. Still waiting for an update after I submitted an online query. 😕

I received a Notice of Action (I-797) form today dated 1019/21 extending the validity of the expired green card to 24 months.

The myUscis shows February 11, 2021 when the item was posted with a "On January 12, 2021" we received the forms.

I filed a case inquiry today because the priority date showing for WAC shows January 20, 2021 with a 6-9.5 month processing time.

Same for me. Filed an inquiry today. NOA dated 01/20/21

    WAC - California Service Center

    MSC - Missouri Service Center

if you get WAC, your interview might be waived.

“For example, the speakers confirmed that I-751 receipt numbers with the prefix MSC are routed for interview scheduling; receipt numbers that do not contain the MSC prefix (e.g., EAC, VSC, LIN, etc.) are routed to the appropriate service center for an interview waiver determination.”

Lol I figured as much. I’ve been groggy due to the covid vaccine haha. Thank you though for the response! Here’s hoping for smooth sailing from here. Haven’t received the actual notice but at least the text went through!

  4. Hi all! Been so busy with life finally getting to move on that I haven’t been able to update my timeline, or thank all you lovely people, and to wish all of you guys still waiting good luck!

my husband and I had our interview last February 26th. Funny thing, my husband answered the first question wrong which made us nervous, but at the same time relaxed enough to answer everything else with a smile and a giggle. We were very happy, and answered everything correctly. Our IO was pleasant but the wrong answer raised some flags (maybe yellow ones, not red) so she ended up grilling me about past visits, and who was at our wedding and if our families knew we existed to each other.

after about a 30 minute interview, she congratulated us and said she believed in our relationship. My green card came a week later. She informed us of the 90days before the expiration of the green card, so I guess I’ll be watching and trying to help out anyone who isn’t through to the end yet.

    hang in there guys!

Do you mind sharing the number you called? I called the number that is on my receipts, but it was an automated system and I wasn't able to talk to an officer.

Call the automated number and follow the prompts to hear status about your case but dial the options that say you don’t know what the receipt number is. Eventually it’ll come out to an agent. :)

i guess im the only july filer here don't have gc yet lol...  😥 by the way... RFE here and they just receive our papers that they need😕.. now waiting time again and nervous.. ugh...

Hey, you're not the only one. They received my RFE response on Jan 2, 2019.

I called USCIS earlier today, because my EAD is about 19 days over the 6month processing time, and the agent said she pushed it forward and created an inquiry about it. She said I was gonna receive a reply through text or email within 15-30 days... soooo waiting again.

Then I asked about the RFE response and she said they would reply by Mar 1. soooooo more waiting!

Sooooo bored waiting to look get employed. hahahaha

    My case details:

Filed July 9, NOA received Jul 11.

AP approved last November, everything else still pending.

RFE notice December, sent in the required documents by the end of the month

RFE response received by USCIS Jan2.

    W2s are not tax returns

    That's why you got RFE

I know many people used what they used at the embassy level
But that is not what is needed.

Ask your husband to submit his taxes

W2s and other documents are the support for the tax returns, and they also need that document too.

Got this. Thanks so much everyone. Gah. This waiting is driving me nuts. 147days and counting.

    Yes this is normal
    What did you submit?
U had to have submitted your ENTIRE tax returns or the IRS transcripts.

Partial documents will get an RFE

As for your EAD- that seems to be a mixed bag
Lately, it seems the answer is no? But I think it depends on what the RFE is and if they need the document to proceed with the EAD.

But good news is that this is relatively an easy request

If you filed your tax return, make a copy and send that right back to them

    Good luck!

Well we submitted the w2’s for the last three years. And it’s not mine they’re asking for... it’s my husband’s. I’m still waiting to work, so thus, no taxes. 😕

  9. So funny-slash-annoying story happened to me:

Hubby and I filed the 485, 130, 765, and 131 in a comprehensive package all together, and all were received by July 11. On July 26, I got a notice for the fingerprint fee being received. All were accepted except for one, the 131, which was rejected due to incorrect filing fee (supposed to be 0.00, because of the pending 485). Best guess is while leafing through my packet, they misplaced the 131.

After a back and forth with the agents on the hotline, and 2 failed attempts at resubmitting, I was finally successful in September, which put my travel plans in grave danger. (We were supposed to travel to the Philippines for Christmas) We ended up cancelling our plans, and then the thing gets approved on Nov. 15 after less than two months while everything else has not moved from case was received and finger print fee was received. 145 days and counting...

  11. Hi all!

So here's a nutshell about me and my husband. We met online on one of those dating apps, but I was still in an open relationship with someone (don't ask :D) so we kept contact as friends. He and I are Filipino, and he migrated here as a nurse a long time ago and he usually goes home 3-4 times a year. We started as friends (he was my voice of reason with that last relationship) and eventually, when we met face-to-face after a few months of chatting, phone calls, etc-- the chemistry was just natural. Everything flowed really well, and I was at the tailend of my last relationship. Eventually, my ex and I went our separate ways (not without the drama of course, as I introduced my ex to him when he came home--again, dont ask haha), and he was still just there for me. After a few months I decided to go and visit family, and see if things would work out between us, so I took all my vacation time i had saved up from working at one company for 6years, and made my 5-month trip here. I went to my sister's graduation, visited some cousins, and of course, practically moved in with him. He actually booked a trip in April so that he and I could fly back to Manila and bring me back. We were thinking of going through the fiance visa process, as everything just fell into place while I was here.

About a month and a half before I was scheduled to leave, he realized that the process of waiting for the K1 to be approved was too long and that he didnt want us to be apart for that long, and he proposed at the end of May. We got married two weeks later and embarked on this process of concurrently filing the 130 and the 485, with the 765 and 131. So he still went on that trip to Manila, but I stayed here and held the fort while he was gone. Three weeks apart was difficult, but it's worth it for this lifetime together, with hopefully no complications. (so much mush! haha)

We filed on July 11, with some complications (my 131 - advanced parole, was separated from the rest so it was rejected due to incorrect fee). After a few resubmissions, (finally, we got it right) everything has been filed and were now just waiting. Hopefully, we July filers will receive some good news soon!

    Here's to keeping the faith!
