Congrats!!! is your field office Newark, NJ?
I am in north jersey, wondering if we have the same field office. Thank you!
When I put in my zip code it shows the field office as Mount Laurel/Cherry Hill Field office (I actually think we are almost mid-way between there and Newark since we live in Hopewell) but I'll let you know for sure when the appointment letter arrives, hopefully by the end of the week!

Congratulations on receiving your EAD! Did you receive your ssn as well? My EAD came in the mail yesterday but no ssn
Congrats on the EAD!
I actually already had a SSN, I managed to get one when I first arrived and then after the wedding (and before expiry of my k1/i94) I managed to get it changed into my married name too, so I am not sure how long yours will be sorry!

EAD card arrived yesterday
I had started to get worried as it was approved on 15th Feb and the status never changed from 'Your Card is Being Produced' to 'Card Mailed' but NOA showed up in the mail on Friday and then the EAD just showed up yesterday also.
Also Friday I-485 status changed to interview scheduled too!
Great to see some movement and progress!!

Hello everyone,
My NOA receipt date for i-485 c9 EAD i-765 and Travel Authorization Document are all on August 20th 2018. It's been 179 days today and I'm wondering what's going on. I called a week ago to inquire about my case. Was that a good idea ? Will it slow everything down ?
My I-485 status was updated on November 7th 2018 Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview.
However, I'm really looking forward to getting my EAD so I can start working, it's getting really long. Does anyone have any input ? I'm a bit nervous that it's taking so long. My citizenship is French if that has any impact at all.
Hi @MaximeCC
Calling them to inquire shouldn't make a difference don't worry.
If your receipt and NOA date are August 20th then it is outside current processing timelines (this is showing as 30th August) - have you raised an online 'outside processing time' query here: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt - that might be worth a try??
Good Luck, I hope you hear soon!

Finally status changed to Card Produced today!
Still nervous until I receive anything in the post but so happy!!!
Actually called up USCIS to log an expedite request yesterday as I have a job offer, but thankfully not going to have to go through that process now - phew!
Received date 30th August 2018
NOA1 6th September 2018 -
@Adelarossa02 great news - Congrats!!
What was your NOA1 date?
Mine is Sept 6th and I'm waiting anxiously, I got a job offer on Friday (they know my situation), so hoping for it ASAP so I can formally accept and don't lose the opportunity!

thank you! this has helped a lot. so you didn't photocopy anything?
I had made photocopies just in case of need but I kept them all in my bag and they just took the originals and I think took a copy or scanned them as I got all the originals back when I left

I just submitted our DS-160 around a week ago but didn’t pay anything :s I assumed you still had to go through the other websites to book / pay the MRV fee?
Oh it must be when you book the interview you pay then!
I would go ahead and book if I were you, you just need your Case Ref (LNDxxxxxx) which I presume you have since you booked the medical and then one of the confirmation numbers from your DS160 submission.
As one of the other guys said, if the system lets you book it then just do it (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/users/sign_in) - be sure to leave plenty time between medical and interview.
I think I booked my interview for 2.5 weeks after my medical as that was the earliest appointment available anyway!

From the website:
You are required to obtain the original or certified copy, and one photocopy (with the exception of your passport and photographs) of the following documents:
- Passport – unexpired passport valid for 2 months beyond your intended date of entry into the US
- Photographs – 2 colour VISA photo’s taken within the last 6 months
- Birth Certificate / Adoption Certificate (If applicable) - Obtain the original or certified copy. We will not accept the short form version of a UK birth certificate. The certificate must list both parents’ names
- Police Certificate for the UK / Certificates for other countries (if applicable)
- Evidence of Support - K and Diversity visa applicants are not required to provide an I-864 Form. However, they must show evidence that they are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. There is no set for that this evidence must take but use of the form I-134 is an efficient way to provide this information to the Consular Officer.
- VISA Fees
Other docs IF APPLICABLE:
- Deed Poll
- Divorce Decree / Death Certificate
- Court / Prison Records
- Military Records
- Translations
- Petition Affirmation Letter – required if your petition has expired
It would be nice to hear from someone who had an interview recently, to confirm if the website is up to date, if indeed you do need photocopies, and do need to take a print out of the DS-160. Since the VISA application is in their system, I'm not sure why you would need to take the print out, and the only place it's specifically mentioned is on this forum.
I interviewed at the start of the month and would say the list is pretty much accurate:
I needed:
- Confirmation of DS160 - not the whole form just the confirmation page they provide you with (you can't even enter the Embassy without this)
- Passport- Birth Certificate
- Original ACRO Police Certificate
- I-134 Affidavit of support and evidence (I took W2 tax return from last year, letter from employer and payslips but they only took the first two)- 1 x US style photo
You don't need anything to do with the fees as they are paid online when you submit DS-160 now, so you wouldn't be there if you hadn't paid.
I also took a spare photo and supporting evidence in case they asked re proof of relationship and confirmation of my choice to pay for Premium Courier delivery (printout of the email).
I didn't get approved on the day as I hadn't got a police certificate from Australia (requirement changed to 6 months + living in another country recently) but I have since sent that in. My status changed from Administrative Processing to Ready yesterday so hopefully all sorted now and waiting for it to be changed to 'Issued' and get the confirmation of the courier.
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions

Actually just following on from that the actual physical document they gave to me asking for the additional Police Certificate also has the link to the wrong info on too haha!
‘Police certificate from....Australia.... (and certified translation, if applicable). Please see our website bit.ly/ivletterdocs for more information about police certificates’

Where did you get that information? https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/
The fiance visa link says 6 months.
The link came from the official email confirming completion of my DS160 and confirmation of my Embassy appointment...

Hi everyone
Just on the way back from London after the interview this morning.
As most people said previously the process was relatively straightforward:
- Arrive at a desk outside who ask for DS160 and passport and tick you off a list
- Sent through security (had to take a drink of my Diet Coke to prove it was ok)
- Arrived at a big queue outside the building door, (I think there was some confusion here as the signage wasn’t clear so everyone just started queuing when actually people with 10am appointments could have gone inside) - went inside to the desk where you hand in your DS160 again and they give you a sticker and tell you where to go - 1st floor then left and left again around the corner
- Here you take a seat and wait for your number to beep and pop up on screen. I was seen about 10.20 by a guy who asked for Passport, Birth Certificate, Police Report, Affidavit of Support and W2 and letter of employment which I handed over. He asked if I had lived anywhere other than UK and I said Australia for 8 months, so he said I needed a police certificate for there but I said the website said it was 12 months or more so he made a note and said the immigration agent would discuss with me. I then did fingerprints and was told to take a seat
- Maximum wait of about 10 more mins then called up to a different booth to see a lady
- She asked where we met which I explained and then commented that she could see I had been on plenty of visits (21 in 2.5 years) - no further questions
- She then went on to say I did need this police certificate from Australia and it changed recently to 6 months or more and once they have this everything else is perfect and they will approve
Needless to say I left a bit gutted and annoyed at myself for missing that (I had ordered my UK police cert back in january and been super organised).
Having been spinning on it on my journey home I double checked the UK embassy website from the link they sent in the appointment email (https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/appointment-notification/)
which still shows it as being 12 months or more!!!!!
The actual US website does show 6 months, https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html but clearly the UK embassy haven’t updated their information, which they are sending out to people!
Ordering the police certificate tonight but it is a 15 working day timeframe (plus god knows how long postage from Australia) so going to try call the embassy tomorrow. I doubt it will make a difference but I can’t help but feel frustrated that the information provided by them is incorrect.
Not an ideal experience but purely down to the police certificate side of things rather than anything else!
Hope that helps people!

Hi everyone,
Quick update as we went for green card interview yesterday in Mount Laurel, NJ.
Arrived at 9.50am for appointment time of 10.15am, then waited and didn't get seen until almost 11.10am which was probably the most stressful part as we had both only booked a half day off work.
When we eventually got taken through, the lady interviewing us was really nice, asked us a couple of questions about how we met, and then had my wife ever been to the UK to visit me (I had visited USA something like 24 times during the relationship.) Asked for photos I gave her about 15 that I had printed of the wedding and honeymoon and a couple of things since which she kept in the file. Didn't get asked for anything financial, or leases or anything along those lines. She updated the record that I now had a job. Said it was a super straightforward case and that it would be approved and I would receive the 2 year Green Card in the post in the next few weeks and gave me the link to the information about removal of conditions at the end of that but said she cant see us having any problems since its clearly a bona fide marriage. Probably in there 20 mins maximum (which made up for the long wait!)
