  1. My fiancees visa says Issued (June 8) it will be delivered to 2go travel in Cebu city. can anyone comment on how long it has been taking for delivery of the visa, and how can I track it?

  2. OK here is part of what happened at my fiancées interview in Manilla.  my fiancée had her interview Monday morning and she was never asked to give the Affidavit of support. only nso,,cenomar, and nbi. neither the Pilipino counselor or the American CO asked her about my income or job or the Affidavit OS and supporting documents. the interview went well, they kept her passport and just said "thank you you're finished" she was given a paper as she left with info to register her address for delivery. I'm confused why they never asked for AOS?? Would like to hear comments about this.

  5. My fiancée had her interview at MNL embassy today, The CO only said "thank you're finished" Never said approved or not. And my Fiancée never asked if she was approved??? is this common? When will we know if she was approved?

Also is it common for them to Keep the original Birth certificate? will she get it back? with her passport/visa??

  6. My fiancée lives with our son in the Phils. Since our K1 application was filed last Oct we filed CRBA for him and he is now US citizen with USA passport. My fiancee interview is June 4. However the NVC and Embassy have him listed as needing to attend interview as K2 applicant. Do we just bring him to the interview with his American passport and they will update there? or do I need to call NVC or Embassy?

I just heard from someone who just completed their medical and SLEC stated to the applicant that flu shots are now being administered all year long and not just when CDC/USCIS required them. Can anyone else verify whether this is true or not?

    Here is the CDC/USCIS requirement.

For purposes of the immigration medical examination, the flu season starts on October 1 and ends on March 31 each year. If your immigration medical examination is during this period, you are required to have the seasonal flu vaccine. If you have an immigration medical examination completed between April 1 and September 30, when it is not the flu season for immigration purposes, you are not required to document that you have received the seasonal flu vaccine.

My fiancée completed her medical yesterday, she was given the Influenza vaccine. (Flu Shot) they have it in stock now.

yes she has, told her to go back and show the appointment letter, stay tuned.

She was allowed inside the medical after too much heart attack drama, that we don't need. the Embassy appointments letter worked, but only after the second try. so at minimum have your Embassy appointment letter for your medical in MNL. we never received the NVC letter via email or mail.

They said that the US now wants the vaccine given as early as May (usually it’s June) that’s why they weren’t prepared and have no available vaccine. They’re going to call us when it’s already available and I have to come back.

my finacee is doing her medical in MNL today. traveling from ILOILO, are you saying she will have to come all the way back for a flu shot?

Hello, I just want to ask if having a US passport is enough proof to be a US Citizen. I filed for K1 visa and the US passport was my only proof of citizenship.

I came here in the US when I was 16 years old, my dad was already a US Citizen. I didn't get my US passport right away because I didn't have enough knowledge about it and my dad didn't know about it either that I can get my passport already. Until my friend pushed me to get it and have it processed (since we had the same case and she got hers right away), so I finally got my US passport last year 2017.

I just want to make sure that I'll be good with the petition that I've filed and that I don't need to worry about on anything. Thanks in advance!

How did you get your citizenship? CRBA?

You do not need to wait on the letter from NVC. If you do you will set yourself back a least a month in wait time when you could be doing the medical and gathering your documents needed for the interview. Get started today. SLEC wants the Interview letter from the National Visa Center (NVCOR Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation from the Embassy (just print off a screen shot of the confirmation page once your appointment has been secured) either or.

    • Principal Applicant - original & 1 photocopy
    • Derivatives - 1 photocopy each

If Interview letter or Visa Interview Confirmation was received via email, print 2 copies for the principal applicant and 1 copy for each derivative

I'm going to give you a website that walks you through the process at USEM. If you follow these steps you will avoid pitfalls and failure. The information is better than any lawyer can give you!!!  You want to reduce stress then use this website. Remember to "trust the process" and you'll have a visa soon.

can you tell me if everyone comes back for day 2? and if so how long is the process on day 2 of the mnl medical.

You don't need to wait for the NVC letter. All you need to do is check the CEAC status tracker https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=NIV and you can screenshot the status of your case with your MNL case number. You can print it and St. Lukes will accept that. As long as you have you MNL case number,  you can proceed with scheduling your USEM visa interview and medical at St.Lukes.

BTW, I've seen a lot of people doing that when I went to St. Lukes last May 7 for my medical. Goodluck on your visa approval and medical. 😊

    thanks for the info....

  13. My NVC# shows "Ready" at the embassy (manila) But I have not received any email with the NVC Letter, which is required to take the medical. I called the NVC and requested one be sent to me, they are sending me one but he said it will take a week to process....can anyone tell me if the manila medical exam will ask for the nvc letter? if so is there any way I can print this out now. otherwise my finacee could take her medical Monday, but now were waiting for this email of the nvc letter which could take a week. any help appreciated...

  14. Did you know you can find out a lot from your NVC case #  the first three letters are the embassy that will receive the applicant paperwork. MNL is manila. next is the year 2018. next is the Julian date, (add 500 to this number to get the day of year issued, last three digits) last three numbers are the cases issued that day for that embassy 003 would mean third case for MNL that day. so MNL2018747003 would be Manila 247th day of the year of 2018 and the third case for manila generated that day.

    Good luck everyone....
