Well they are not really looking at your case. It is just collecting dust. Same situation here. They either will RFE with something they lost or want, approve, or Interview. Not much to do

Heyyyy I just wanna come here and let you guys know that I got my update >>>> New Card is Being Produced.

This tuesday I called USCIS number and said infopass appointment so I can talk to someone.

I told her my case is out of processing time and if she can file service inquiry for me because online tool doesn't let me do it. (I firmly believe their service inquiry gets the job doneif it is done through a representative, online tool inquiry never did it for me)

She said yes and she sent the service inquiry, she told me this sends an email to the officer or supervisor at that location to let them know this case is out of processing time.

2 days later, I got my update!!! I am not sure if this helped my case but I just wanted you guys to know just in case if you need to do something.

This is such a relief, after 2 years of abusive relationship, them threatening me with my immigration status anytime they can't slave me around.

I was pretty sure they reported me, falsely accusing me. I was so anxious because I never felt safe.

Now I feel super relieved. Thanks for everybody being super supportive from the beginning of my immigration journey. Starting from K-1 to AOS to removal of conditions. and another 1 and a half year I will be able to apply for naturalization.

    I wish everybody quick approvals.

March 2021 filer here. No update since Biometrics used, May 2021. Extension letter expires September 2021. Has anyone had an extension to the extension letter?

As an aside, I traveled outside the US for the first time since getting the extension letter. The only thing I had to do different from last time I used my Green Card (when it was in date) was to fill out the customs declaration, and sign the part saying I’m a resident. As it’s all automated at Fort Lauderdale (where we flew into) my expired GC obviously didn’t scan but when I went to see the officer he only glanced at the extension letter. I have also had a new passport since I last traveled so all my old stamps weren’t there but he didn’t need anything other than the GC and extension letter plus the customs form. Smoother than I was fearing.

Here’s hoping YSC gets cracking again soon. But if anyone has an extension to their extension, let me know. Did you have to do anything to get it? Did it come before your other one expired?

    thanks! Adam

I called them and waited for 70 minutes and rep told me i need to schedule my infopass after 17 months from my expiration date.

I am still waiting to hear something. Filed on septepber 20, 2019. it has been 22 months 7 days so far.

That is absolutely insane! Unfortunately most terrible people see immigration as the weakest point for foreign spouses and that’s the first thing they jump at to hurt a person. I despise people like that. Anything is possible, but if they started an investigation on your case, I believe you would somehow know about it by now. As for my case, we divorced a year into i751 process, meaning that we applied jointly originally. My ex was terrible too and couldn’t keep the finances straight, so we didn’t have strong joint financial evidence  because i was afraid to have a joint bank account with him. We still had one but didn’t use it for awhile. I submitted as much evidence as possible but i think in my case maybe lack of financial evidence is a problem here. But who knows. I will keep you posted!

Good luck! I got response from uscis about my service inquiry. They said "Your case is currently under review by an officer. We regret that we are not able to give you a time frame for when we will complete the review of your case."

    🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Unbelievable! I feel like they put all divorce waivers in a separate pile until ‘further notice’. This wait is so exhausting!

I don't know about your case but I am pretty sure my ex husband and his salty family reported me as fraud to uscis.

I have restraining order on him so, you know, they wanna return me back like I am an item they bought from a store. They were terrible and the trashiest people I have ever met in my whole life. We are talking about mother in-law calling her 11 years old grand kid "shut your d*ck sucker". and you know what? he wasn't like this when he was in my home country. When I came here the abuse started.

I am thinking that might be the reason why my case is taking too long.

I am assuming they never responded to your request about your case being out of normal processing times? I am supposed to receive a response by tomorrow on mine, nothing yet

Yeah, I have no response from them.

I will wait until I hit 22 months, in a week, and I will file another out of normal processing time.

Maybe they got too many of them and then that's why they extended it.

You did the right thing by doing a divorce waiver vs abuse waiver, otherwise it would take even longer!
Did you apply for i751 already divorced? I applied jointly but got divorced a year into my application being at Potomac, so mine had to be switched.

Keep us posted on what the review says! I will submit mine soon too!

Yeah I waited until we are divorced then filed for it.

I filed September 19th 2019 so same here. My case is also a divorce waiver, so i wonder how long it’s going to take them to process it.

Yeap mine is divorce waiver also. I mean my ex was abusive and was trying to kill me. I still paid for the application didn't want to try to prove he was abusive even tho I have restraining order on him.

I finally was able to submit out of processing time. At least now I have a date to look for.

OPT is pointless to file, that being said, I just noticed they upped the time from 19.5-20.5 like few days ago to 19.5 - 21.5 today, which is honestly crazy. It is like they just up it whenever they are running behind to a reasonable date so no one file out of processing.

they only extend the green card  it for 18 months but their processing time is more than 21.5 months. I am just very frustrated.

Anybody from September 2019 still waiting to get approved? Or am I panicking that i’m the last one too soon? 😂

I am still waiting. I filed on September 20 2019. Ysc199046XXXX is my number. I just can't believe we have to wait 20+ months for them to decide if they will remove the conditions or not.

I can't even file out of processing time online. I don't know why.  Waiting game..........

Just found out that Potomac is here in Northern VA, which has been badly badly hit by the pandemic. The area shut down, with non-essential federal workers working remotely since March 2020. On top of that, the county where YSC is (Arlington), is the worst hit in Northern VA. As of today, the rest of VA has already re-opened but Northern VA is still just on Phase 2 (restrictions are still in place with teleworking still strongly encouraged). Not sure if USCIS can work on cases at the same service level while teleworking, but this could be a reason why YSC has slowed down this year when before it was one of the fastest centers.

    appreciate the update.

  11. I came to US with K1 fiancé visa. I got married and filed for AOS. Conditional green card is approved, we got divorced and I filed for removal of conditions (I-751).

After I file for my removal of conditions, I met with my current fiancé. He proposed and we want to get marry.

Should I wait until my conditions are removed or can I get marry before the final decision for I-751?

    Thank you in advance.
