Sounds like in order to get USCIS moving you almost have to resort to this kind of action unless you're lucky and they happen to get to your case within a reasonable amount of time. 

Honestly, my lawyer told me to contact a particular office because they had been very helpful, kind and responsive with her in the past. I just think if one office doesn't work out, call another!!

Hi! I called them and just told them about the case and how long it is taking. She said although it is still in normal processing time she would still contact USCIS. On Tuesday morning they received a response from USCIS stating that my case was en route to the adjudications office for review! I think it helps to make your case more of a priority if you go through a congressperson!
