For the record; my medical was 2 weeks ago, and my interview was today. Turns out, it wasn't a problem. The doctor said that based on what I told him, and a clear drug screen, he wouldn't have seen any issues with this affecting the application.
Not to mention the unrestricted emotional reserves. I don't know about anyone else, but leaving and the first few weeks after a visit are always the absolute worst, most miserable, can't-eat-can't-sleep, don't even want to get out of bed times for us. Last time I was basically a zombie for about 3 weeks - didn't want to leave the house, go to work, talk to anyone (but him, of course) or do anything even with my closest friends. After that first hump has passed, we both settle back into our routine and while it sucks and we wish we were together, it's not so bad. I can't imagine doing that more often!
I'd rather just have the 1 more visit we have planned, perhaps a very quick one over Christmas (work is being difficult and saying they won't approve that until November, which isn't ideal for ticket purchase prices) and then hopefully when the NY hits we'll have NOA2 and NVC to be keeping us busy with, then packing up my life here.
