Does anyone know the easiest way to get chat transcripts off of iMessage or messenger into paper form for K1 interview???

Yeah getting those was really had especially cause my fiancé and I just talk a lot on the phone without chatting.

I went back to the beginning of the conversation from way back last year. On messenger. And started taking screen shots.

oh my goodness this is so very encouraging!  I have just finished reading your experience at medical too!  Thank you for being such a great "poster of your experience"  Do you have flights to the US yet??  Are you sooo very excited to come to see your partner?!

My partner was planing on coming to Kenya and staying with his friend and booking his medical about a week or two weeks prior to his interview date, does that make sense? is a week prior enough time?  It sounds like we should wait to fill out forms until CEAC status changes and hold of on DS160 until it states case number is no longer at NVC!!!!! or has been received in kenya!

    Congratulations again!

Eek I am so happy for you both!

My fiancé is an optimist. He'd already booked me a flight even before my interview which is great cause they went up. But he got a travel protection just in case. I'm so frigging excited! This is surreal! I'm even more excited than when I first met him! I'm so so happy! We've been really patient and it's paid up.

I booked my interview a week and a half before my interview. It's good cause it gives them enough time to send your documents to the embassy. And sometimes they might suspect you have TB which adds another three days of sputum tests. So two weeks in advance is really really good.

When the status on the CEAC changes to ready go ahead and book everything even before the embassy sends you an email. That's what I did so that I could get an early date for my interview

What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congratulations  that is so so so so awesome!  So great!!!!!!  How did the interview go?  Oh my goodness I am so excited for you, i can't imagine how you all are feeling!  I have so many questions.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS

The interview was okay but the wait! Oh my. I got there at 6.30 but they only called my name at 8.46.

I still can't believe I was approved!!! They almost put me in Administrative Processing just cause I didn't have out chat transcripts. They had everything, emails, pictures! But they wanted the chat transcripts. So I told her to give me a few minutes to go get them. I came back with them and I was approved!!

The interview questions are normal. Like where did you meet? What website?  How much time you spent together? When did he propose? They're gonna ask a lot of questions about the petitioner so make sure he knows you like the back of his hand.

Otherwise they're all very polite. I was confortable with the counselor officer.

Hi All,  Does anyone know if my partner and I can begin filling out the DS160 (k1 Visa) while we wait for the NVC to mail our package to the US consult in Kenya.  NVC has assigned us a case number and stated they should be mailing our package off to Kenya today? (I will call NVC tonight to confirm it has been mailed)  We are trying to get as prepared as we can in order to schedule the earliest interview!  Any support on this topic would be so very much appreciated! or any info on the K1 process in Kenya as my partner is Ugandan and will be going to Kenya for interview med check and such!!

    Thanks Kara

God Bless Visa Journey and all the support and encouragement found here xo

Check on the ceac website with your case number. If it says ready for interview, yeah for sure go ahead. Schedule the interview and the medical cause interviews are really hard to get now.

I had an interview today at the embassy I got approved!

Hi guys..whenever i track my case at ceac website and check it on non immigrant It says the case application number is not valid, but when i tried immigrant the case says at nvc. Is it fine or what?? Thanks guys☺️

It's fine. For scheduling purposes a K1 is considered and immigrant visa. They treat it as an immigrant visa although it's a non immigrant. It gets confusing sometimes.

hey everyone, I have a question, my interview is booked for the 3rd April, I plan on flying 1st of may, seeing as it's almost a month later would you book flights before the interview or wait? I'm also picking up my passport rather than delivery.

If you are to book it, do it but get a travel protection plan so that if anything was to happen to delay your visa, you could change dates or cancel the flight. I understand why you'd want to book early cause flight prices changes and the closer to the date the expensive it is.

    Hi guys,

I have a question regarding medical exam... So when we walk in for the medical exam, I understand one  of the documents we should bring is the interview notice. Is it the email from CEAC that you are ready for an interview or is it the appointment letter for interview  when you do the Ds160 that your interview is confirmed at this date? Sometimes lawyers just makes it so hard... Grrrrrrrr 🙄🙄🙄

I don't think K1 visa applicants have letters but on my medical exam I took the payment receipt that has my case number, visa interview date and time. They had no problem with that.

How do you track your case once it has left the NVC to the consulate? We have our NVC number but tracking only says that it has left the NVC and that we've gotten our interview date, which we have not (Montreal/Canada).

Is there any way to check as we wait for our packet 3/email from the US consulate in Montreal?

Go to the CEAC website and check the status of your case. Packet 3 is sent by email and its instructions which I already knew. If it says Case ready for interview you can go ahead and fill out the forms and book your appointment and medical.

  10. Hello fellow July filers. I figured I'd just write about my experience of the medical exam at the IOM in Nairobi.

First day I arrived at 7.20 my appointment was at 7.30am. Really doesn't matter when you're appointment is they serve you on a first come first served basis. We handed in our Assessment form which they send to you when you book your appointment, to the reception. They called my name a few minutes later and I heard my picture taken. After a while there's a guy who called all the day one's to the counseling room. We all sat and he started telling us about the whole processes depending on which country you're going to. After that we signed consent forms to allow them to take blood, urine and x-ray.

Next we went to the lab. They took our blood and urine. I handed in a passport photo too. Next is the x-ray. Dint take more than five minutes. After that I went to pick up my payment coupon. They send you to the vaccinations area so that they can determine which ones you need. I didn't need any so they gave me an invoice of just the other exams. I paid ksh 19242 ($188). I used MPESA to pay.

The next day I went there same time in the morning. There's a tray we drop our forms in for Day 2. You then have to see the cashier to confirm your payment. Then I waited and this woman called our names. I went into this room and they took my weight, measured my height and tested my eyes. Then I was sent upstairs for the rest of the physical exam. They tell you how your blood work, urine and x-ray turned out. I was given an all clear and a CD with my cray on it.  After that I went to the vaccinations area I didn't need any so they just filled in the dates I had the vaccines and gave me the certificate of vaccination. And I was done.

I typically spent 5 hour each day. But it only depends on how many people are there. They don't just serve the US it's other countries too like Australia, Canada and the UK
