Hi all, Just updated my status. I walked-in today to get fingerprinted. I got the notification ("we scheduled your biometrics appointment.") on the 17th, and the appointment letter was posted yesterday. (Feb 20th) It was okay to walk in but I was questioned why I was there early. I have a question for some of you like @GoingThrough, @vkhutchings, @YashMin, @Dinosaur2013 who completed the process in less than 6 months. What was your estimate completion time? Mine is 7 months (Sept 2018) and I'm wondering if that would change (hopefully for shorter). Thanks!

Dealing with immigration is so tricky and it makes me go crazy.. lol but this community and kind people like you guys really help me. Thank you so much. Hope our process will go smoothly. I can't wait to make an update to my status on this page
So, i think 6am is the time.. because when I got a status update email (NOA), it was also 6am!

The online system doesn’t seem like the real-time update. I checked my online account on 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th.
On 10th, 11th, 12th – I didn’t see anything about Biometrics.
All I could see was –
Case Status/History – We received your application.
Documents Tab – Receipt Notice
On 13th,
Case Status – On February 10, 2018, we scheduled your biometrics appointment
Documents Tab – Had my biometrics appointment letter
I filed on Feb 7th, and I've been a GC holder for 12 years(!) (almost like you @CTgal18) but I still haven't received any updates on my fingerprint appointment. Seeing you guys progress makes me super anxious. >< Do they update the online status only in the morning!? My estimate completion date is Sept 2018 btw.. Thank you always everyone!

Hello all, I'm adding myself to the list. :) I live in Brooklyn but according to the uscis.gov site, my field office is Jacob Javits Federal Building in the city. I filed on Feb 7th, and still haven't got a fingerprinting notification. I hope I'll get it soon. Ahh, cool. Congrats. When you filed, did it give you an estimate waiting time for fingerprinting..? Mine said 31 days when I applied (now it's 30), so I was wondering if it will shorten.. fingers crossed..
Thank you for your answer for my 2nd question also. Right now, I only have the NOA letter, and not the fingerprinting appointment letter. I wonder if I can still show up..!? Thank you so so much!

How did you walk-in for fingerprinting without an appointment? I'm in the NYC area.
I've been a GC holder since 2006. Does that help or change the speed of the process!?

Hello all,
I just filed my N-400 application this week. I was going to add my info on the other thread but it looks like it's closed.. so I'm starting a new one.
Right now, online, it says the waiting time (for fingerprinting) is 30 days. How about yours? I was looking at the January 2018 thread, and it seems everybody got their biometrics appointments pretty quick. Does that mean I could get it sooner too?Thank you and good luck to all!

Quick question for you guys Jan 2018 filers. (I just filed on Feb 7, 2018).
It looks like most of you got the fingerprint appointment fairly fast. On my case status online, it says my waiting time is 30 days for fingerprinting. Could it happen sooner than that!? What did your estimate say!?
