    Your case number starts with three alpha characters. That is the code to where your case is being processed.

    USCIS office locations have the following three letter codes:

    • CSC - California Service Center;
    • EAC - Vermont Service Center;
    • IOE - ELIS (e-filing);
    • LIN - Nebraska Service Center;
    • MSC - National Benefits Center;
    • NBC - National Benefits Center;
    • NSC - Nebraska Service Center;
    • SRC - Texas Service Center;
    • TSC - Texas Service Center;
    • VSC - Vermont Service Center;
    • WAC - California Service Center; and
    • YSC - Potomac Service Center.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello to all VJ family members.  As most of you know I am in the Philippines right now enjoying time with my better half. :D

    Anyway......., Yesterday, or well I should say the 27th in the Philippines was my Fiancees birthday. This is the first time we have been able to be together for a birthday, so we wanted to really celebrate with a nice dinner and some wine. After getting ready and waiting for a Grab (Uber) if your not sure what grab is, my email notification went off on my phone. So looking for something to do I checked my email, and the email I received was from USCIS,  it said there was a case status change. I quickly grabbed my laptop, logged in, and WOW!!!! It said our case was Approved on the 26th!! Honestly I couldn't think of a more perfect way to get an approval notice! Almost like a storybook notice. We are together, it's her birthday, we were all dressed up and leaving to celebrate. Needless to say we now had two reasons, and of course we over celebrated, if that's such a thing. he he

    Just wanted to let everyone know and thanks for all the support. I'm glad I could help in the past with scans and answering questions and will continue to help in the future.

    You don't indicate in your profile what country. What country are you asking about? Some do and some don't. I might have more definitive answer once I know your Embassy. Many of you have not visited your Embassy web page where a lot of your questions can be answered. Also, you may want to look here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/ for the answer to your question. Good luck.

    Thank you for your feedback. My fiances county of embassy is Armenia.

    Not all embassy's use packet 3 and 4 this way, but here is how it worked for us.

    Once our case was sent to the Embassy, they quickly sent us packet 3, which is a long list of things we had to submit.  It included the I-134 sponsor form, police reports, birth certificate, passport photos, etc.  Once we sent them all of that information, they sent us packet 4, which is directions on how to schedule appointment for the medical and interview.

    Thank you for the explanation. I guess I have to wait and see how's our embassy will process our case.

    Short update on our K1.  We submitted the packet 3 on Monday 3/19, and we received the packet 4 on Tuesday 3/20.  My fiance was not able to schedule the medical last night, but she was able to schedule the interview for 4/3.  If she can't get the medical scheduled in time, she may have to reschedule the interview, but hopefully not.

    What is the packet 3 and 4 about? Could you please explain it a little? thank you and congratulations!!!
