How long did it take for your EAD expedite to be approved?

I called them 28th, got a letter sent 4th, received it on Monday and faxed everything through Monday so now I’m just waiting. How long did yours take before you knew it was printing?

It took me 8 days from faxing the docs to being approved. Another 10 days from approval to receipt of the combo card. Hope it helps!

Do you think I’d be able to do this without having any response from USCIS yet?

I have the confirmation # from my expedite request but I don’t have any notice of needing further evidence yet but want to get on top of it.

I think you should wait for 5 business days after you filed for the expedition. If you don't hear from USCIS, you can contact the congressman or senator and they might be able to pass along your docs to USCIS.

What did you mention to your congresswoman in order for them to help you?

Your response has been super helpful, I hope I am as fortunate as you!!

I basically just told them that I had filed an expedite request to USCIS and faxed them all the supporting docs I already sent to USCIS. They were very responsive and confirmed receipt the minute I faxed the privacy consent form.

Got an RFE 2 weeks ago, Responded to it last Thursday. Documents were received yesterday. Started Expedition process for EAD due to a job offer today. Heres hoping things go quickly from here on out.

Has anyone else successfully expedited their EAD yet?

Hi, my expedite request was approved on Aug. 23. Called USCIS on Aug. 6, received the RFE on Aug. 13 and faxed the evidence on Aug. 14. Separately I also contacted the local congresswoman, which I think might help as well. I didn't submit any financial docs, W2 or letter from my employer. I just said in the cover letter that it is a rare job opportunity and the possibility of losing the job would cause severe financial loss to me since I'll have to spend a few more months looking for another job without any income. Hope this helps!

thx for the information darling, i think your FO San Jose is faster than mine in San Francisco, the agent on the phone told me that the time line for EAD and AP is 90days, since i don't have a job offer at the moment, and i clicked the SSN card along with EAD, which is now i have to wait for the approval of EAD combo card with SSN to apply for driving license and health insurance and etc... is a heck of a problem... 😌

I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully you'll get the combo card soon! You can look for jobs at the moment since you'll be able to expedite once you have an offer. :)

Anyone from California bay area got a time line for AOS and EAD and AP? i filed the docs on 17 July 2018 and 18 Aug AOS updated "will scheduled for interview", EAD and AP still got nothing as the status still stating "received the case", called USCIS on phone today said my case still brand new even the name of local office is a secret to tell and the AOS processing time is 11- 23 months, thats literally two years????? but  I've been following the information in this forums and noticed that the AOS applications file around mid July 2018 from NC already received their interview date on this Septermber. so I'm out of my mind now .... 😏  why they don't send ppl to the other FO to average the workload which can expedite our case???

I came to the Bay Area in June and filed my AOS on June 28 (NOA July 4). AOS changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview" on July 31. I submitted an EAD expedite request on Aug 6 and my EAD got approved today. You can at least have your EAD expedited if you already have a job offer. Not sure how long it takes to change from "ready for interview" to "interview scheduled."

  7. Hi all - I believe this question has been asked many times but I still want to ask one more time to double check and make sure. I got my medical examination along with vaccination prior to my K-1 interview in April. The doctor issued me a copy of DS-3025 with the box "K Visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements" ticked. I still need to get one Tdap shot but it looks like that I got a B waiver (insufficient time interval). A couple of vaccine boxes are left in blank (Polio, Rotavirus, Hib, etc.). Now I'm working on my AOS and was wondering if I-693 is still needed. Based on my research, it seems that I don't need to submit I-693 but can file a copy of DS-3025 (and even this is not NECESSARY since the original was already included in the pack at POE). Could you please kindly confirm? Many thanks!

All cases seem to go to immigrant AP first but later change to non-immigrant before issuing. So it’s normal :) especially if it’s right after interview

Yeah I just did my interview today and the officer said it was approved and the delivery will take two weeks. Fingers crossed! Thanks very much for your prompt reply and wish you best of luck, Naes!

    Yes it is.

Is it on immigrant AP or Non-immigrant AP?

If it is on Immigrant, and there is no problem with the visa, it will turn to non-immigrant AP before it will get issued.

Thanks Naes! By non-immigrant AP, do you mean the case status is shown under the non-immigrant visa? I can access my case status under the immigrant visa category and it shows AP for now.
