Checking in this thread one last time. Fiancee finally arrived in the USA last week :D almost exactly a year to the date that I moved away actually. Thank you so much to everyone here for the help and kind words, and a special thanks to @Naes for doing those scans which helped so very much.

Hey don't make it your last visit.  At least I like seeing the rest of the timelines move along like, AOS, work authorization, etc, etc.  Don't leave us hanging (well us that like to see the journey to it's final stage "citizenship" )  Stay, please :)

Called NVC and they told me the name I gave them isn't the name they show.  How does info mysteriously change from USCIS to NVC?  No issue with name this whole time and them boom, "we screwed up your file" and you have to email us so we can correct it.  I'm so sick of these people I have never met.

This is so weird.  I submitted an inquiry to AskNVC so they can correct my name.  I then called back to find out how long it would take.  They guy who took my call started giving my the NVC case # and invoice id, then stops mid-sentence and asks for my and my fiancé's info.  Then he fgoes ok I can give you the info then. <_< I wanted to say ####### are yall doing over there?  The right hand obviously isn't talking to the left.  How exhausting and stressful this has been.  Just let my man come home to me damn!

I don't know. I said, "no one knows." But it's entertaining to hypothesize.

Its not past marriages.  I was married before to a guy I brought over on a I130 (from the same country as my current fiance).  I also have been arrested (no conviction though).  I was approved within 7 months.  I really just think it's the person who has your file dragging their behind.  For example, I was approved 3/28/2018 and the NVC still doesn't have my file.  There's a guy that the NVC got his file in like a week and the same embassy mine will be processed at.  I think it's the person handling the file that the problem.

Thanks all.I will update you on what is in the letter. All the best for everyone waiting for an approval. We all need to be strong to endure all this and finally be with our loved ones.

Here's a thought and I know it may not be what you want to hear but, Trump may have a visa ban in the country of you or your fiancé.  I'm not sure which one of you is in Kenya.  Last October Trump places a ban on the minister there.  It may have something to do with that sweetheart.  Either way, I'm really sorry.

The rfe needed a letter of intent, beneficiary and petitioner's passport photos and evidence  of fiance visiting(passport stamps)

All that is the general items.  sheesh!  I don't know.  Well the letter is on the way so just be sure to immediately appeal so there isn't more delay.  I truly hope everything works out in your favor in the end.  My best wishes and prayers are with you and your family.

We are not yet married. No anything formal that happened.I'm calling him hubby because he will eventually be my future husband. And we will be officially married in future.

ahh o makes sense.  I do the same.  I think most of us probably do.  I just wanted to be sure.  Do you mind letting us know what your RFE was about?  Perhaps that would help with us trying to guess why you received a denial, other than them being total asses.  :(  I'm so very sorry.  But, bright side you can appeal.  So just be ready to fight.  I'm sure you feel that your relationship is worth the coming battle.

It's so frustrating. We hope we can appeal if it is possible. We had no words but my fiance just requested me to be patient and we wait for the denial letter as he figures out what to do next.We are thinking on looking for a lawyer.I can't imagine all the evidence we gave out.My hubby hasn't been able to come and see me and our daughter the past year because of the process.

I'm sorry this has happened.  One thing I caught is that you called him hubby.  Are you already married?  If so, you got a denial because you filed I-129f per your timeline.

This coming Tuesday will be one month since USCIS received our RFE response....i'm really starting to get worried. I know it can take up to 60 days, but with so many people getting responses in two weeks or less, i'm starting to get concerned  We sent everything that was requested, and a little more.

I'm with you in this waiting game.  I'm waiting for NVC to receive my case.  Its been 2 weeks since NOA2.  NVC says it takes up to 6 weeks.  I have seen cases that take only days to arrive to NVC, some a week.  Its really case by case.  Don't fret.  It will happen.  We all want something to happen right now, and it's just not possible.  Stay positive.  Don't worry yourself unnecessarily.  Worry just makes you look old :D  We need to look gorg when we see our babes again.

hi all! august 31st petitioner here.

i've been in the september 2017 forum for a while but realized i should be here.

[NOA1 August 31, September 5 Submitted - which is what we were going off of]

i've been getting incredibly frustrated and disheartened in seeing late september 2017 filers being approved this week before late august filers.

i have everything crossed for all of us still awaiting NOA2's. don't give up hope just yet! processing times are sat at august 30th currently.

    NOA1 - August 31st 2017 / 210 days
    Submitted - September 5th 2017 - 204 days
    NOA2 - ?

Reading your timeline says your noa1 is dated sept 5.  You are a Sept filer.  The date you sent it doesn't count.

Has anyone checked out the new processing time page on the USCIS website https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/#mainContent . They've mentioned they are processing cases dated August 24th, 2017 instead of September 1st.

They changed the formatting too.  Gosh I dislike them right now.  :(  They need more employees to tackle the workload.

One day we will find out more information about this elusive RFE.

Wow!  This is my story just different dates.  I was told an RFE was sent to me 2/26.  But I told the tier 2 guy that I hadn't received anything and it was already March 5th. He agreed that that was very strange.  So he did the service request and boom same day I got the update that and RFE was coming. And then it actually came.

My Fiance called, they told him they will put in a "service request" for our case and that we should hear back in max of 30 days.

Have people here found that service requests help get things moving? Hoping we will hear soon!!!!

For me it helped.  The same day a service request was done for me, I received notification of an RFE.  The response was in 15minutes.  I received notification on the app and the website about the service request and then right after the notification came that it was resolved and my RFE was on the way.  By that time I was already at 196 days.

Yep I sure did. I assune they asked for thr statement because there isnt an outcome from the court since it wad dismissed. And when I first submitted I didn't send a copy, I sent the original with the courts "raised" seal/stamp and signature. I believe it's just a formality.

I tried to attach a pic of the rfe request but it days it's too big.

Here is what it days verbatim:

    Verbatim:

    Petitioner's Criminal History

You indicated that you have been arrested or convicted. Therefore, please submit certified copy (ies) of court records identifying the charge and the final disposition for every conviction together with the police report for each arrest. The final disposition (s) should be obtained from the court where the hearing took place. You may submit original documents, or certified copies which must include relevant court seal stamp.

If the court disposition (s) is/are not available, you must obtain a certified letter from the court (s) stating that there is no record. You may submit original documents establishing the non-existence of court records, or certified copies which must include the relevant court seal stamps. In addition to evidence establishing the court documents are not available, submit a notarized statement detailing the events that lead to the arrest, the arresting agency, what charges were filed by the arresting agency, the final disposition (guilty, not guilty, etc.) of all of the charges with a list of the charges, the location of the court and any punishments.

Note: Police clearances will not be accepted in place of the court documents.

    Sorry for typos 😑😂

WTH?? a notarized statement of events leading up to the arrest?? that seems odd... did you provide them with court/police records or whatever official type documents when you submitted your packet?
