  1. Thanks for all of your responses guys. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable.

I also talked to one of the lawyers on this site and he said that there is no guarantee but as long as there are no terrorist ties / crimes being committed a person should be admitted.

    He referenced the following document:

    https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/14_1120_memo_arrabally.pdf

    Thanks again!

  2. Thanks for the reply missileman.

Are there any statistics that show AP denials by year?

Everyone keeps putting that disclaimer that only US citizens are guaranteed entry. But my question is:

Is it so discretionary that a CBP in a sour mood can ruin her re-entry for no reason?

I'm extremely paranoid as this is my wife, but she really needs to go back home for the emotional re-connection.

    Thanks again.

  3. Hey Guys,

My wife just got her EAD card with AP permission after coming to the USA on a K-1 visa. She is from Algeria, which is part of MENA. I am scared that under this administration she will be denied re-entry. I am torn apart on what to do. She misses her family so much and I want her to travel to Algeria but I don't want to risk losing her and undergoing the immigration process again.

I need some input. My family is deathly afraid that she won't come back and it's really giving me and her second thoughts on her visiting her family back home.

Is my fear and concern completely blown out of proportion?

    What should we do?

    Thanks for all your help.

  4. A few questions on the I-134:

Do i need to fill any other asset information besides salary if my salary exceeds the requirement?

Can I leave the life insurance info blank? I know that I do have it through my company but don't know the exact amount.

In the instructions it says to put N/A. The example I-134's that I have seen put "None" in the last name section of the part where it tells you to do that, but then leave everything else that doesn't apply blank.

How should I be filling it out? Blank, None, or N/A?

    Thanks

This site lists all the instructions. We have access to everything that is required. I don't see why we would need to wait for the packet from the NVC to tell us what we already know.

    P.S.

look for people who have filed in Algeria. there should be a sub-forum

Alabamak1 - I couldn't find the Algeria subforum only a MENA sub-forum, can you link me to where that is?

  6. Hey guys,

This is regarding scheduling in Algeria.

I received my case number and the case is in transit. My fiancee already has a US travel docs account because she applied for a B2 visa before. Following the steps online, I get to this message:

Please confirm your IV Case ID to proceed with scheduling your appointment. Please ensure that you have been notified that your IV Case is ready for scheduling. If you receive an error message that your Case ID is not loaded, please be patient and try again at a later time.

I put my case number ALG2018.... and it let me through to the payment side.

Now it says my fiancee needs to pay at one of the Aramex stations and she can use the receipt number from that transaction to proceed with scheduling.

Will they let her pay before she receives the packet from the embassy? The drive is 6 hours for her. I don't want her to go on the trip for no reason. But I also don't want to let the closest interview dates slip by if I don't need to wait for the packet from the embassy.

Can anyone please confirm if its ok to go pay?

    Thanks!

In the same boat. Just called and still not received. They did confirm an email will be sent to both applicant and petitioner ,as long as you provided them on the I-129f application, once the case number is generated and sent to the embassy.

    My NOA2 was March 29th.

Mine was received April 16th, and case number was given the same day. Still at NVC, not in transit yet.

  9. Hey Guys,

    https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx doesn't work for me.

Would this be because my case number was just assigned yesterday?

Also, just to double check. The invoice number is only so you can reference your case before you get assigned a case number. After that it is unneeded, correct?

My fiancee is in Algeria, the ALG2018...... number that I received is my case number, correct?

  10. Hey guys, just wanted some advice on what I should prepare. Online approval for NOA2 said March 29th but physical said 28th. I am still waiting on NVC to receive my approved case. My fiancee is in Algeria (embassy in Algiers, Algeria).

    - Can I expedite the NVC process after it has been received?

We checked their website -  https://dz.usembassy.gov/

My fiancee needed to get 15 vaccinations (10 of 15 already done), 2 need to be done in Algiers but she lives far away.

    - Is it possible to do them during the medical check so she can save a trip?

    - Why does the interview need to be two weeks after, can we schedule before?

They say she needs to pay for the interview at an Aramex office (all far) and that's where she will have to pick up her passport about 10 days after the visa is approved.

    - The office is in Algiers, is there anyway she can just pick it up sooner at the embassy?

    - Would it help if I flew out to be with her during the interview? I can't stay longer than a week and would want her to come back with me so the 10 days would be a real issue.

    - Would it help if I booked her flight before the interview so they know she is planning to travel 2 weeks or so after approval?

I have filled out the DS-160 and I-134 (neither submitted yet)

    - When should I have my fiancee submit the DS-160?

    - I am salaried at around 50K but I started working in July of 2017 (when I graduated), will the amount of time I have been working be an issue? Should I get a sponsor?

    - Can I send my fiancee a copy of the signed form as the mail system over there is unreliable?

    - What should I provide a copy of?

    - What should I mail her the original of?

    - What else do we need?

Sorry if this is too many questions. I know some of the answers, just want to double check.

    Thanks for the help guys!
