You did trace the package though right? It says received on the other end?
It can really take up to 3 weeks even if it is sent the same date.
Yeah we did and it was signed for Monday so it’s arrived and in there hands as far as I know. We went with USPS to the P.O. box.

I sent mine four days earlier and got the email notice two days ago, so I’d imagine you’ll hear back in a day or so if the timeline is similar
Okay great. Glad to hear that. Thought they process within a couple of days so was just a bit nervous. Thank you!

Did they cash the money?
however, don't worry till full 2-3 weeks pass.
We used a cashiers cheque as my fiancé didn’t have personal cheques so we can’t trace it unfortunately. Okay will do. Thank you

We sent our petition on the 26th too! Good luck
Have you heard anything back yet? Like got the NOA1 or had electronic confirmation via text or email? We haven’t had anything so just a bit worried.

Hey guys, sent petition friday 26th so it should arrive today at the lockbox. Hoping to get NOA1 ASAP but excited to get going. Looks like USCIS are speeding processing up which is great. have 6-7 months in my head for NOA2 right now so hopefully we should all be done by September-November and with our significant others by then (I'm really hoping) Excited!!

Yes he did get an approved I-129F! And thank you, that's great to know about my dads taxes. Fiancé plans to come in June or July. We've got our wedding scheduled for Aug 25. And the venue will let us reschedule for another date if for some reason something goes wrong with the process.
Thanks for this thread, about to send our initial petition to USCIS and start the process but have been worried about the income and I134 form when we get to interview. My fiance doesn't make that much but her mum is a pharmacist and wants to co-sponsor so that is a relief. How come your petition went through so fast? did you do a full binder with loads of evidence etc in it? we have done that and have a lot of stuff to make it easy for them to go through. just curious how you did yours and how it got looked at so fast. may have been some luck but curious all the same. Excited for you guys!

Hi all,
Almost finished with the process for creating the I-129F petition and getting close to sending off (Next Week)
Couple of quick fire questions on how to address some of the sections that the K-1 visa guide states on here that need to be addressed:
1- Name change: neither of us have had a name change. How do we address that or do we not even bring it up? Do we need to write a letter saying neither have had a name change at all?
2- Divorce: neither of us have been married or have kids. How do we address that or do we not even bring it up? Do we need to write a letter saying we are free to marry and have both never been married before or is that evidence the two letters of intent?
3- Criminal history: neither of us have any criminal history whatsoever. How do we address that or do we not even bring it up? Do we need to do a background check and send that off with the petition?
4- Petitioner doesn't have personal cheques. Would a Cashiers check work just as well?
5- We have color copies of the petitioners Birth Certificate. Is that enough to establish citizenship or do we need to do a full copy of passport and every page also?
Sorry if these sound silly or basic. We don't know if we need to write a letter for each part or to just tick the boxes in the I-129F petition and leave it at that. Just want to be 100% accurate with our petition and give no excuses for a RFE.
Thank you so much for looking at this.

Hi all,
I came to the USA on a B1 Volunteer Visa to volunteer at a local church and met my current girlfriend (Soon to be Fiance) whilst i was hear during that time (July 2015-June 2016). I was offered a Job in the February 2016 and we began dating on 31st March 2016 with the final paperwork for the work visa being sent off May 13th 2016. We decided to start dating thinking i would be coming back to work full time here on a different visa with no intention to marry.
Well unfortunately the visa the church applied for was denied. Not at the consulate but from USCIS as the church didn't meet a small requirement for the work visa. This process only just recently finished (July 2017). Throughout this whole process me and my now fiance (Got engaged 13th January 2018) have stayed together with her managing to visit for 5 months during the waiting. We want to get married using the K1 visa process as we both wish to live in the USA together.
How do i address this previous petition denial within the K1 petition? how much detail is enough and where in the petition should it go? Happy to address it but don't want to go over or under the amount of detail necessary for it to cause a problem for us.
Thank you all for your help!

Thank you all for your help with this!
I am here in the USA on the VWP right now. we are just figuring it all out and what is best between the K1 and the CR1. We got engaged on Saturday!!!
Whats a realistic timeline for the CR1 and the K1 as of right now do you think?
The Adjustment of Status isn't as large an issue for us as I know lots of people in the area who i can spend time with and volunteer at the church etc. Also living arrangements are easier here for us as we have friends with Annexes or extensions who have offered to help us out until I can work.
Would love to hear some thoughts as to best way to go as we want to start the petition ASAP so we can hopefully Marry by the end of the year. that is the goal anyway.
Thank you all!

Hi all,
Long story short:
i came to the USA on a B1 Volunteer Visa to volunteer at a local church and met my current girlfriend (Soon to be Fiance) whilst i was hear during that time (July 2015-June 2016). Throughout this whole process me and my girlfriend have stayed together with her managing to visit for 5 months during the waiting. We want to get married and start the K1 visa process as we both wish to live in the USA together. My question is how does a USCIS petition denial for a job possibly effect this future K1 petition? Also how do i address it within the petition itself? We are more than happy to address this within the petition but want to address it the right way and be completely open. Just a weird situation and we want to make sure we do it the right way. We are also open to getting married first in the UK and going the CR1 route but just don't know which is the best solution for us to be together.
Looking forward to hearing your responses.
