Our application got approved on 10th. Application was filed in June 2020 with a MSC center. Card is still being produced. How long will it take to get physical card? Thanks

Hi there! Congrats! How long did it take you to get your card? We just got notice card was being produced yesterday. Filed in June 2020, no interview and also did not file for N-400. We are MSC center. Thanks!

There were no changes online for the biometrics. They had not updated my address last year and it was just luck that I called them to find that my biometrics notice was sent already. They updated the address again and I got the notice a few days before the appointment.  Even at this stage the online status was case received!

All my mail was being forwarded correctly by USPS to the new address and this was the only mail that was missed. Oddly similar thing happened with our receipt notice - did not get it for more than a month. They claimed to have sent it & they would resend it after the call. I only got the notice sent after my call.

It would be prudent for all of us to keep calling USCIS periodically to avoid missing a notice for an interview!

This is such a frustrating process and we can't wait for it to be done and dusted.

How do you get through to anyone at the USCIS number? Every time I get an automated person and I ask to speak to a representative and then the automated person says they can't help me and it hangs up!

    Hello,

I am happy for you that something is moving in your waiting time.

    Below is my timeline

    6/17/2020 mailed out I-751

6/19/2020 USCIS received and provided case number

    6/28/2020 USCIS withdrawal $680

6/30/2020 USCIS sent out I-797 to let us know they received our appication and extended 18 months of conditional resident status

Until then, we never heard anything back.

I was doing the website research, most of the people are saying the biometrics appointment is about 4 weeks after they sent out I-797. I think the 9 weeks that we have been waiting is just around the corner. Do anyone know more about the timeline? or any idea how longer to wait for the biometrics?

In addition, I have seen not only you, but a lot of people have received the fingerprints schedule in about a week after they received the text message and cashed out the fee.In my case, I have been waiting for almost 9 weeks, is that mean something else?

PS: My case is also starting with MSC from Seattle

Hi there, just wanted to say that we received our 18 month extension letter in earl July and have still not received the biometrics letters either. We are also MSC and Seattle area too!

It has been 11 months since we started this process and I still don’t have my visa. I am near the end but my anxiety and stress over this is worse than ever!

I had my interview on the 21st and it was in AP pending my medical results, which arrived on the 3rd. It changed from AP to Ready (for interview????) on the 6th. Do I need to get in touch with them since I’ve already had my interview?

How do you know when they received your medical? And when was your medical apt? Our medical was June 27th and interview was last Friday, approved pending medical results. Not sure when they will receive it.

No. Not a chance. They will sort it and collect your extra amount due.  There are Immigrant interviews and Nonimmigrant. Both fiancés and spouses see the same people...the Immigrant Visa Unit. They are very nice, and it's an easy process. Nothing to fear unless you are a scammer, drug dealer, criminal.

    Ok, thank you!

$265 is the Fiancé Visa K1 fee which is paid online at the time of choosing an interview and setting up courier delivery.  It sounds like you may have booked a fiancé interview.

The spouse visa Instructions I provided a link for above do not have a payment option Step while booking the interview. That is because CR1s pay $325 to the cashier window of the embassy while at the interview.

It is all the same same people who interview spouses and fiancés so they will sort it out when you get there. You have a receipt of paying $265 so take that with you.

Oh no! I selected the "I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to schedule an immigrant visa appointment" and it directed me to pay. Do you think they will make us come back for another interview if I scheduled the wrong one?

Defo! Aha, wonder what interview is like to have all the docs checked too... 💭

Also, did you pay the $265 fee when you scheduled the interview? I have been looking online and I think the fee for CR1 is $325, so wondering if we pay the difference at the interview or how that works.

I was told by the embassy (I sent them an email) that we bring all the civil docs etc to the interview and do not need to upload them. Did you fill out DS-260 online? We filled it out and will bring the confirmation page but I also wonder because the case was sent to London before we filled it out. Hopefully that's not an issue either.

  9. Our case was expedited too, we just selected the "I have received a letter..." and scheduled it. Our interview is for July 6th! Just a day after yours! After looking at your timeline it looks like we followed a similar timeline! Good luck to you!

  10. Our spousal I-130 was approved for expedite at the NVC on 5/16 and sent directly to the London embassy. My question is how to proceed next. London is CEAC, I was able to fill out DS-260 online and it asks me to submit civil documents etc, however I thought that London was going to handle all that at the interview. I emailed the embassy and they replied with a generic response that NVC handles approved I-130 petitions and also schedules the interviews, NVC told me that they are no longer involved. I wrote back to London Embassy and explained, again, that our case was expedited and sent directly to them. I am wondering how do I get interview scheduled and do I continue to upload all documents to the CEAC website? Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

I'm also PD of 09/29 - Approved 04/18/18. Sent to NVC 05/07/18, called NVC today they received 05/16/18. I'm scared about waiting 8wks for Case #. Let alone how long from then to get my Welcome packet and send all papers then to wait for interview...

Hi, I actually requested an expedite based on medical issues and it was approved, they have sent our file directly to the London embassy and we are awaiting an interview date now. Hopefully NVC speeds up and you get your case number quick!

  12. I just noticed that in the packet of the I-130 my lawyer submitted for us, my divorce decree from my previous marriage is missing the back page where it has the certified copy stamp. The first page says "Certified copy" but the stamp on the back is missing. I am wondering if I should sent a complete copy of this or what to see if they notice and get a RFE? My PD is 9/29 TSC, we had an expedite approval on 2/15 but at my last service request they said they were performing additional review and would hear a response back in 60 days, we are halfway through those 60 days. What do you guys think?

My PD is August 1st at TSC and no NOA2 yet, it's been 210 days. Seems like TSC going slower than NSC by now. I submitted case inquiry 2 weeks ago and I got this reply:

"We have received your service request and researched the status of your case. We have had to perform additional review and this has caused a delay in processing time. Your case is currently with an adjudicating officer. You should receive a decision or notice of further action within 60 days."

Anybody else going through the same thing?

Has your petition been approved yet? I had an expedite approved on 2/15, the letter said we should get a approval etc within 45 days on our petition. I called a few weeks ago to open a service request and got the same response as you about the "additional review...60 days blah blah blah" The wait is so frustrating. Have you called to see what the additional review is or the status on your case? I contacted my senator for help a few weeks ago but still haven't heard back from their office, they are backlogged too so it could be awhile before they can get an update for me .  When I called USCIS for an update they just say its still pending, apparently there was a touch on 3/28, I am hoping to hear something soon!
