I am just updating this information on visa journey so that people who come in to similar situation can get some help from this experience in India. But process may change in future.

Don't be disheartened if doctor refers you for further Sputum tests. These days doctor will refer even for smallest of scars on lungs. Please don't try to jump to other medical locations for another medical because this will go against you. Most certainly you won't have TB as it is a dangerous disease and you would have already known if you have one by now. Also even if you had one in past they are just looking if its still active or not. Or worst case probably there is 6 months process to cure TB if it comes positive.

If you fail Xray test as per process in 2018 you won't be able to attend interview. If you already have an interview date and the date lies within 2 months then you would need to email embassy for further process. Then you will be asked not to come to interview .

Once sputum test arrives in 2 months the hospital will send results directly to Embassy. Then you will get email from embassy that your medical has been received and a new interview date will be given.

Disclaimer: The process mentioned may be incorrect or changed. It's just information gathered from one of the such experience.

I need a suggestion. My mothers interview is on June 4th at Mumbai embassy. But medical will be pending by that time as doctor referred her for further tests that takes 2 months to come back. 

Doctor was saying you can not go to interview now until results come back.  But I don't want to trust him with the process.

Should we still go for interview? Any body experienced this situation?

I applied for my mother. Do I need Marriage certificate for Deceased spouse as well? Or just death certificate is fine.

Does anybody know if we need to submit original PCC or a scanned copy is fine? Or it needs to be notarized.

I called NVC and it was working for them. And after they opened it at their end I was able to open it right away as well.. Weird

My IV fee is open.. and pay now button is active. But when I select $325 IV fee and submit, the total to be paid falls back to 0 and doesn't take me to next page. Any body else having this problem?

Yea. Its a change.. But heard its easier to get to Embassy in Mumbai than in Delhi as it is not secluded like Delhi but with in main market. Its 15 mins drive from Airport. Heard taxi guys are very friendly too. I would say book a direct flight to Bombay if you live in Northern part of India...

If NVC send your case to the supervisior does it really push back your case a few weeks.

No it doesn't.. I sent to supervisor 2-3 times and submitted online request as well.. I got my Case#  day before yesterday

Did u do 261 via phone? They did 261 for me and it was very quick. Not sure whom they added as agent, I told them to set me as agent. I can not see information in account now.. Rep did not ask me address and email for agent info..

Yes, I got in the email today. Only AOS payment was open, I paid that. When would they open application fee?

Dont be sad. you will get it soon too.. Only reason I can think is you sent 130 application 2-3 months after mine.. Wonder if Priority date has something to do with it given large volume of applications.. But you should definitely push NVC very hard to get the answers..

NVC closed early today.. Snow in forecast until friday and on Monday and tuesday as well. Hope they are not closed for that long.

you didn't add spaces? or invert "O" from "0" if there are any?

 

 

My mistake. Invoice number I noted down was missing one digit. Called NVC and they gave me correct one.. The lady was nice she even submitted my agent info on phone she said I would save 3 weeks of time with that

No. This is for all immigrant visa's.. This is true not a rumor any more.

No. System doesn't recognize the case number. Are you getting same issue?

Heard for India applicants.. New Delhi is no longer holding interviews for immigrant visa. All the interviews will be in Bombay...
