Did your petitioner state that on the letter that he wrote? That he's planning to return to the US together with his son?
I see that it is marked that they should submit proof of relationship as well. Was that addressed too?

I will have to ask my dad and brother how exactly they were interviewed and the questions asked. As a co sponsor I’m helping them out with the process. Every time I check on CEAC it updates on the day I check it. My brother said the CO didn’t look at the proof of relationship yet at the time of the interview, so I’m guessing that’s the reason why they’re asking for it? Thank you all for your thoughts, just getting anxious as to how would we get notices if they’ve received them or is it best that we contact them.

What docs did you submit? Your father must return to the US as the point of an immigrant visa is for family reunification in the US. If he prefers to stay in the Phils then there's no point for his son to immigrate.
My dad is planning to come back with him when all is done.
He's not planning to stay in the Philippines for good just as soon as the process is done, he will come back with him.

Hopefully you have the 2go tracking number. His case should update on the website after they review the documents.
I suspect your youngest brother may not be able to get a visa for family reunification as his petitioner, your father, does not "domicile in the US". Just having dual citizenship is not enough.
They asked us additional documents and brothers passport be sent back to the Embassy. They needed evidence for my Dad's US domicile (banks accounts/etc/updated documentations of his latest US address).
My friend stayed with her husband in the Philippines too during the process same with my dad and they were good.
We submitted all the evidence they asked and other docs, I'm just wondering on how they update people when they receive them and how the process continues and if anyone has the same experience with me.

Hello Friends! On a different thread as i couldn't find answers to my inquiries.
My USC Dad has petitioned all of us (3) minors to come here to the US, but we've all had different situations on our cases.
Now my youngest brother is the last one to come, he had an interview on April and was refused given the 221g them asking for some more evidence of my Dad's US domicile as he has been staying in the Philippines for about 2 yrs now (dual citizen), they gave us instructions and papers on how to send back documents to them through 2GO (free of charge to US embassy). We sent documents last week, now my question is how do we know if they've received them (they have the passport in there as well). Would they let us know? How would they update us? It's only been a week but I'm just curious of how this process goes and if anyone can share their experience.
Thank You in advance!

Thanks so much! I actually received that exact wording today but it was in response to the AP request. The EAD request was the one where I got the reply on Friday, so now I'm not sure whether they're declining both or whether the EAD is still under review...hopefully my congressman's office representative will be able to get more details.
Any updates yet? I'm actually tempted to do the same now. losing hope....

Yes. File I-130 for them that's what my dad did to all of us (minors) except my mom (not married).

If her nanay is rich that is very possible. Rich meaning got car, big house, productive business, high paying job, big bank account with activity- anything that will show that she is coming back to the Philippines and can independently support her visit in the US.
Actually, a letter from OP stating that he will provide for MIL's needs while in US, combined with some assets (house/condo) will work quite well.
What does OP mean? I am trying to have my mom apply for a tourist visa and be with us while her petition is in process. She does not have any job but I will support her expenses while she's here. Is it necessary for me then to provide affidavit of support?

Hey,
Who knows how long it takes your visa to get delivered after getting the issue status?
They usually say the generic 5-10 business days (depending on your location; delivery location)

CONGRATULATIONS
God is good...
I AM VERY HAPPY FOR YOU
Praying to receive ours soon.
🙏
Do you think that I should send an email to ask about it ?
How long after you knew that it was in AP you requested information about the visa ?
My interview was on Aug 14 but Ive sent the requested docs on Aug 21.
Sorry for asking alot
Hi! That's totally fine. Thank you. You can e-mail your embassy to inquire if there is anything else they need or what not, that's what I did since his review took longer than normal (more checks done probably) but no additional docs were asked and he was approved on the day of his interview, though they didn't reply to me until it was issued yesterday. Try and see what they say. Good luck and I pray you get yours soon. God bless. 😊

Good NEWS!
VISA ISSUED as of 3PM August 28 (Manila Time). My fiancè hasn't received any e-mails yet regarding the tracking or confirmation of his passport being sent but I received the e-mail as a reply to my inquiry a week or 2 ago saying that they have issued him his K1 Visa (CEAC status also changed to ISSUED). Thank GOD! We're now just waiting for more confirmation and tracking once it gets delivered to our chosen 2GO branch. Thank you all and wishing everyone else gets the good news as well. 😊

Dont worry everything will be fine soon and you will see your ISSUED at website.
My interview was on Aug 14, the CO asked some questions as:
How and when you met eachother
When you get married and where
If we had party after married
Then he said you are approved but I need a Joint sponsor forn I-864 for you, even my spouse as my sponsor qualified for that and NVC aproval the docs.
I've sent by email the reqyested docs and received an Email that they had received and are now reviewing.
Praying to see ISSUED soon.
Dont know long it takes.
Keep me posted if anyone else has similar situation let us know.
Dont forget that God is with us and we will win and get our passports soon with our visa.
Amen
Hi! I see that you don't have your Timeline set up but yeah, our worries is that we already had delays in our paper works and his medical is due to expire in October so he needs to be here before then or we'll have to pay to redo the exam and so on. How's yours going? At this time, all we can really do is pray and wait for it to be issued. Good luck to you too.

Just an update on our visa status:
Case Created: April 24
Case Updated: August 7 (right after interview to AP)
Following Updates: Augus 9,15,21 and today 23rd both Case Created and Case Updated changed but still on AP and now says NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION. Can someone tell me if something like this is still normal or should I be worried? I called a couple days ago and they gave me their generic answer (same as what it says online, still on “AP”) and that I should just keep on checking till it switches to ISSUED and by then I should receive a text or notification that my passport is ready for pick up at my chosen courier branch or address. Just so FRUSTRATING! I need some motivation... 😭😭😭

Yup normal. We were approved and sat in 3-4 days of AP. Nothing out of the ordinary. Hopefully your's is brief also but some can be extensive and take awhile.
Yep! That is what I was worried about because even though our case is as plain and simple, you still never know but 3 days of AP shouldn't worry me at least I know they're actually looking at our case and that we're approved and they have his passport. Just hoping that it won't take too long for his visa to be issued as I want to purchase his airline ticket ASAP the earlier the cheaper.

Congrats!
This is normal. Every case goes through some form of AP before being issued. Usually it's a couple/few days, although it can be longer if additional background checks are necessary or something. It's been less than 2 business days, so there's nothing unusual at this time.
4 minutes ago, Cyberfx1024 said:This is normal so don't worry about it.
Thank you both so much! I guess what worried me is that they've updated the case 2 days after but still on AP when they didn't ask for any additional documents or what not during the interview. Plus the stress of reading others negative feedback about being on AP for so long and what not. But thank you for answering my inquiry!

Hi! I really tried to look for a similar situation that we are in currently here in VJ but some were outdated. My Fiancé had his interview in USEM last August 7, 2018 after having to undergo a sputum exam that delayed our K-1 process which thankfully resulted negative! He had a really good interview experience and the American consul was very pleasant to him, only asked a few questions and looked through our proof of relationship (nothing else was asked), a few minutes after she told him that he's visa is approved and stamped his paper, congratulated him and gave him pamphlets of so and so (our delivery address is already registered online when we made the schedule for interview). Our Visa status immediately changed to Administrative Processing after his interview and it's been AP since Aug.7 but the case was updated on Aug.9 still AP, is there something I should be worrying about or is it something normal? Thanks in advance!

Go to Medical Wednesday and don't go until around lunch time. No standing in line and it can be a couple hour process the first day.
They don't close during lunch hours? My Fiancé will be going in for his medical on May 17th and 18th (hopefully would only take him 2 days), he's planning to come in early but I'm afraid if he does come in super early that he might've to wait a long time to get started and finish for his 1st day.

I have a really dumb question, I heard from a friend that someone she knows is claiming to have acquired US citizenship months only after getting married to a USC, is there anyway something like this is possible? Don't they have to wait 3 yrs before being eligible to be a USC? Maybe this person is just giving incorrect info or might've said the wrong thing. @Greenbaum @Naes

Your information is spot on except that you stated that the case needs to be in ready status prior to paying the MVR fee which is not completely accurate. Once you receive your case number you can begin to do everything that's needed in the Philippines. No agency, connected to the process requires your case to be in ready mode. You can even book your interview while your record is still at NVC but on its way out the door as long as you have a case number.
Woops! My bad, this info I didn't really know, but it does make sense that you can pay after receiving case # as that's what they ask for when you pay for your visa app. Thanks for for the info @Greenbaum!
Sorry @jafll, I might've confused you on this one, I answered based on what we've done. Good luck!

Yey.
Yay! Congrats! You may start filling out the DS-160 at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ and when the case status turns to ready, pay the fee and schedule interview! good luck!

Yes! Same pictures of different stages in my brother’s life, remittances, and other stuff. Do you know if there’s a way to contact them through email? Hate this waiting game but then again it has only been a week so not trying to stress too much but just can’t help it. We want to know asap so if it’s refused then we can plan what to do next.
