    Yess this is true unfortunately :( may be my relatives who have got their visas are simple house wives and they are not related to any scientific or controversial background which is why they got their visa in 6 days.. May Allah help all of us through this tough situation ameen

    it went very smooth and the vo approved my visa , he said ill get my visa in 3 days and kept my passport but after 2 days i recieved ds5355 form in my email as it says 

    this will decide weather ur eligible for visa or not and when i check my status , it shows Administrative processing , the latest update of 6 may 2018

    You were interviewed in Islamabad embassy? I think you will be getting your visa soon. May be within one month as you have applied for a visit visa. And did you get this date update on 6th may after you sent embassy an inquiry or it happened on its own? We all are mostly immigrant visa applicants and stuck in AP since months.

All u have to do is go to travel docs fill in ur details and they guy takes the medical and gives u a papers that shows what u submitted.. before i could never track my wifes passport but now on the travel doc website it shows that the embassy has it.     Its surely a good sign. I cannot track my passport as well. Its in embassy but still it says that there is no record for this passport number. Good luck...justt pray hopefully u will get ur visa in next week. Did your ceac status shows any date change?

    As my name was Asad, I traveled to UAE on a official trip before the interview, they do additional background check after your put in A.P.

    My organization 's HR was contacted, my Birth place cantt board was contacted for my birth certificate. 

    The system automatically when the CO opens his system pops up that the visa which was in AP has been approved or otherwise and he clicks to process it and it goes to the printing department. And you get an email from the courier.

    It does not matter how many times you call or email the embassy. It will take its time. Mine tool around 2 months 12 days, the AP status last update was frequently changed, at the status check website.

    It has been 12 months I've moved to states.

    I don't use this forum that much anymore but if someone needs any help I would love to share my experience. 

    I am happy after reading this.. My case is in AP since 7.5 months... My mother is my petitioner..I have not met her since 5 years.. I am dying to meet her.. My interview was on 20th sep 2017. VO approved my visa and kept passport...he asked me ti pick my visa in 4 days.. But then case went in AP and I got an email of questionnaire (ds5535) recently made by trump... It had questions related to my social.media handles previous home addresses etc.. I filled it and sent it back in November... Still there is no news.. I think my medical has expired too.. Because medicl gets expired after 6 months... Waiting for the miracle to happen.

    Hey.. Have you got your visa? My mother is in USA.. She is my petitioner.. I have not seen my mom since 5 years.. My interview was in septembrr 2017.. VO kept my passport and said i can pick my visa in 4 days but then case went into processing... It's been more than 7 months now since my interview and I have got no news

    And thanks for telling me that you can renew your medical without passport (just with passport photocopies)... Because I thought that original passport is necessary for medical exam.. Do ask aziz medical center before going for medical that your passport is in embassy and can you bring your  passport photocopies to the center if its ok with them.. I am desperately waiting for any news :'( but i feel so happy for you ...it feels like I got the email.for a medical Lol :D

    How long will it take for them to give the medical? And after submitting it after how long do they give the visa? Any idea.

    There was a person on this forum, I forgot his name now because there are so many people here... His Ceac status changed to Issued after one week of submitting his new medical...     I will pray that your get your visa issued right after you send your new medical. How will.you send them? Have they told you to submit the medical to their courier center or will u send it by tcs service yourself? I am waiting for their email for a new medical ;'( my passport is also in embassy

    Ok have your received the email from the address something like IslamabadPk etc and did it mention your case number as well in subject of email? Your date changed on CEac it means they reviewed your case again and saw that medical has expired so they asked you to renew it. I have asked many people on this forum which had done second medical and they got their visas ... Only 2 or 3 people did not get their visas and their case got delayed even after second medical. But you dont get worried.. When wil you go to renew your medical? If your passport is in embassy then how will.u renew your medical without passport?

    Thats a great news for you its a good sign. Do u have your passport? Or Embassy kept it at the time of interview? Send your new medical promptly.. Hopefully you will get your visa after that.. Lots of prayers.
